Thank you David, my you are a brave soul to demonstrate this for us. A good yogic, ego-free example you are setting for the rest of us. So happy someone was brave enough to share. I will try this first think tomorrow after my usual brushing and everyday scraping, Thanks, Love and Blessings

I gave it a try one day and was shocked by the amount of mucus that it loosend in my nose. I have recurring sinus infections and after two day practice suddenly I developed a full blow infection again. I wonder if it's a coincidence or if this practice just helped open up a "hidden" problem. I'm continuing with it for 30 days to see what happens...
Joanna26.02.2019
Thanks David, I will keep it in mind to be sensitive and gentle. For now I saw it as a positive outcome that it helps to clear up the sinuses but I will be prudent.
David25.02.2019
Whoa....I do believe there is some connection so please be sensitive and smart with the practice. This practice definitely loosens mucus so be tender with the tongue and conscious about going onwards if the infections prove problematic.

I'm getting a bit of a "candid camera" vibe here :-) but will try it as I think this could be just the thing :-)

This is a very interesting practice. My mouth feels really clean, and I could feel vibration in my neck when I was done. Pretty cool. Thank you, David.

That is oddly exhilarating! Thanks.
Jules22.09.2017
Hey David, I kept doing it for the time you suggested and in fact, it's now part of my regular morning routine, keeping my throat and tongue relaxed and healthy.
David04.08.2017
You are welcome! Congratulations on the courage to try it and if I could be so bold... stick with it for a few weeks consistently in the morning and see what kinds of other exhilarations appear ?
Stephanie10.10.2014
Thanks, David. I tried it (before my neti) and was really impressed by how clean my mouth felt. I'm going to call it cleaning my tongue, because "milking my tongue" just sounds kinda' gross!! ;) Peace!!
Stephanie09.10.2014
Hi. Do you recommend doing this practice before using a neti pot, or after? Thanks so much. Peace.
Nanda09.10.2014
Thanks David, I am going to try this tomorrow. Every day I start with oil-pulling. Thats also very nice to start with. Now I try first the tongue and than the oil-pulling.....Namaste...
Katrina02.01.2016
i really cant believe you did that on camera...fantastic, really great very interesting...never before have i been able to put a towel anywhere near my mouth ( some childhood trauma I imagine) but doing that with you was so much fun and felt great ...thanks for having no fear to do that.Katrina
David02.01.2016
Hi Kartina! I did it on camera because I BELIEVE in the power of this practice. 9 years ~ daily... Keep at it!
Krista12.10.2014
on day two of doing this now and I love it! Thank you David :D
David09.10.2014
@ Stephanie - I recommend this BEFORE neti as it will loosen plegm and you'll get a good wash with the neti afterwards! Happy Milking!
Noemi10.10.2014
Hats off to you for doing this on camera, it's definitely kinda weird but thank you for sharing it.
Niki20.09.2016
Hi! I am doing this for a week now and enjoying it. I also noticed that my appetite decreased (and I lost quiet some weight). I am not sure it's related to the milking. Do you have any experience with this? Namaste
David21.09.2016
Hi Niki, Super great that you have taken this on as a practice. I feel strange if I ever miss a day! I have no direct experience with this reducing appetite or supporting weight loss. Could be, but I am not sure and do not want to claim that it does this. Better it is just a 'secret benefit'
Lesley Anne13.10.2020
Hi David, Are the tongue muscles active and engaged to move tongue, or are they relaxed and passive when pulled, or a bit of both? Finding this practice is easing a night-time clenched jaw :) Thanks
David14.10.2020
Hi Lesley Anne, Great question.... relax the muscles of the tongue while you milk it. I guess you could have a touch of both, but especially at the end of the day after lots of use, relaxing and 'stretching' the tongue seems like the right course. Wonderful to know you have positive impact from it... keep at it!
