Welcome to the first class of our new program, Sweat and Serenity – 3 weeks of classes with Esther, David Lurey and Tashi combining dynamic 'cardio' yoga with a midweek mindful Hatha practice. Please click the link to join.
This class builds vitality and cardiovascular strength in an accessible, mindful way. Starting on the mat with rhythmic breath and grounded movement, we slowly gather momentum into a fluid standing sequence of sun salutes, planks, and lunges. Expect warmth, presence, and a deep sense of renewal rather than exhaustion.

Hello Sandra, Good feedback, next time Ill turn sideways. You cannot do it wrong though, even if you would turn the in and outbreath movements around, that would be fine too! And the movement is flexing forward and back. Hope that helps

Hello Lyn, I would slow the upper body (cat cow) down to the point that it feels safe. Finding a rhythm of breath and movement that feels right to your body. A steady rhythm is helpful, faster or slower is less important. Hope that helps

Thank you Esther. This is great for me for my heart health, however, the upper body (cat cow) and fast breath exercise I was not sure about. Could you help please as I don’t feel I understood the breath and movement in combination … it felt very fast and unsafe. Thank you.

Thank you Esther, this practice was very unusual and enlightening. My only worry was if I was doing the two breathing techniques the lumber and upper spine correctly and hoped you would show from the side. I’ll practice again soon. X
