Allowing all that and accepting with equanimity is exactly what will settle your body, mind and emotions. Join me in this delicious yoga class starting with Yin poses, some regular Hatha yoga and we end with restorative poses. I promise this will make you feel lots better than watching TV...

Hi Camilla, I am very sorry to hear it was so tough for you. I am also very happy that you were able to do this class. Take it very easy, give yourself time, take some superfoods like goji berrys to build up your energy again and mostly lots of yin yoga and restorative as well! Today is almost one month after my big surgery, it took 10 hours and I have a big scar down the center of my body. The time before and after has been full of complication I lost lots of blood and have had so much pain and really been in "no mans land" were the time moves so slow you would not believe. I'm now out from the hospital since a few days, still with pain and so week, but today I put my Laptop on my bed and loged in to this Class, started to follow you and just crying for the first half because I could do it! All of a sudden I found my breathing, that has been so painful, it just worked again. Esther, thank you for your support. My best wishes for you and those that are your family. Camilla

Thank you Esther this made me feel great. I was wondering though. When I go into a low lunge where I have to come up on my fingers (and other poses too) that putting my body weight down onto my fingers is quite painful and difficult. I don't have any problems with my fingers just when it comes to supporting myself during yoga. I am thinking that maybe I am getting it wrong and I am supposed to be holding my weight differently (more from the core maybe). :)

Hi Evangeline, that could be, also maybe you feel too much compression, bone to bone, pinching what is in between, and you do want to honour that and adjust so it doesn't hurt. `Try fists, or place you hands on blocks so there is less weight when you are higher up. Hope that helps. It shouldn't hurt, change something if it does.

This was so refreshing :) I did it several times during the course of a cold and I found it to be very helpful. But I have a question about the hero pose. I've never been able to sit like that for long due to knee problems (the result of fallen arches that went uncorrected for a long time), but recently I've come across some controversy regarding this pose. I've read that this pose can be detrimental to the health of the knees, and also that others claim it as a key to maintaining healthy knees. So I was wondering what the Ekhart Yoga community has to say about this. Is there perhaps a technique for sitting in this pose properly, or common alignment issues that can cause it to be unhealthy?

I have fibromyalgia and did far to much heavy, physical work yesterday - which I today have to "pay" for. My whole body is totally exhausted. I usually call these days "Fibro-days". This class was perfect for my Fibro-day. :). Thanks! <3

I have been suffering with a sinus type cold. This was an ideal practice for today and will be going in to my favorites. I am also encouraging my husband who has metastatic prostate cancer to start some yoga and plan to introduce him with this video. You are an amazing resource Esther! What a perfect class to release a ton of stress and anxiety! A month of stomach troubles and the worries of figuring out we needed to buy a new car and then the process of doing so had really gotten me so very stressed and tense all ever. Thank you so much. This one is going in my favourites. I felt so sluggish this morning, not just tired but also like I was wearing lead boots and carrying a heavy backpack. After this practise, I am still low on energy but not stuck; I can get on with my day slowly and gently. My hips and sacrum have a tendency to be a bit out of alignment, and when I placed a block there I heard a loud crunch and felt everything go back into place! An unexpected bonus for me.

Hi Esther, I tried this today for something less vigorous and loved it. Also, I am using this site for the first time as a member along with the yoga tune up & refresh. I have been very stiff and sore after a six-week long road trip a few months ago -- yes, still -- and found the tune up to be more challenging than I thought it would be. So this was perfect. It is wonderful to be able to keep my yoga practice going at home and avoid the crowded yoga studio, especially this time of year. Sending you much gratitude for making this available to us. Hi Esther, I have chronic fatigue and joint hypermobility and come back to this lovely class regularly when I can't face an energetic practice. I have two questions: 1) what other classes might you recommend for people with chronic fatigue ? 2) my SI joints are hypermobile, do you think the 'resting sacrum on a block' section is ok?..what is it meant to achieve and what could I do as an alternative or modification?
