Isn't Ekhart yoga fantastic? So many wonderful teachers, each bringing something unique to the mat. Great class , thank you so much Jennie lee
Jennilee29.10.2015
Jill! You are so welcome!!!
Francesca11.10.2015
Thank You Jennilee for this beautiful class. I really enjoyed it, especially the focus on the 6 movements of the spine! Really beneficial! You gave so many usefull and precise informations/indications, thank you for that. The only think is that I felt that was a bit overwhelming for a 30 minutes practice. Especially during a busy day I like to come on my mat to focus a bit more on my body/mind and a bit less on the outside inputs...so it was a bit tiring to follow all the suggestions. But I guess it's just cause I had a busy day. Namaste, Francesca.
Jennilee29.10.2015
Francesca! Yes...this is definitely a WAKE UP class:):):) I will make sure to film a more relaxing END OF DAY practice for you next time I am in the studio:):):)
Jennilee30.10.2015
Desiree, Thanks for your feedback. Most of my classes will be anatomical and educational in nature...I am an anatomy geek and my passion is for SAFE and INTELLIGENT yoga practices:):):) My passion is for injury prevention and one of the best ways I know to prevent injuries is to have body/breath awareness and anatomical knowledge (how does this perfect working organism work, move, play and dance through space and time?):):):)
Desiree30.10.2015
I feel a bit similar although at the same time I love your explanations Jenilee...and I learn new things. Maybe a good thing if you film some classes with less instructions/explanations too:-) Namaste
Martha10.10.2015

Martha! I am honored and so happy you enjoyed!!!
Kallie10.10.2015
That was very, very nice. I enjoy your personal touch. The focus on time, I did find to be a little distracting. I could have done a longer practice, but I really enjoy the shorter 30 min sessions!

Jennilee29.10.2015

Kitty!:) I love your comment...thank you:) Striving for the best...YES!!! Dukkha is stale, stagnant, negative energy (sorted or trapped). Sukkha is SWEET and comfortable energy...ease and free flow:):):)

Kessarin! You are SO WELCOME!!! I am glad you enjoyed!!!
Sabiena15.01.2016
I really enjoyed this class. I feel so alive! My hips are very tight too and also struggle with the happy baby pose. Any suggestions to help me with loosen those hips would be appreciated. Also, what how can I gain enough strength to get into the full wheel pose... My arms just laughed at me when I tried that one :-) Thank you for a great class.
Jennilee15.01.2016
Sabiena! I am so happy you feel so ALIVE:):):) Lying on your back bring one knee in towards you chest. Then bring your knee around your hip socket, lubricating your hip joint, increasing the range of motion. You can always take the knee out to the right...supine half frog (or one side happy baby variation:) Bring knee back to neutral to release leg down to floor before switching to other side. Full wheel at the wall allows you to use more leg strength to propel you up:) Lying on your back let the top of your head touch the wall. Then, flip your hands so they are by your ears with the heels of your hands in the crease where the wall meets the floor and palms are on the floor. Press your forearms in to the when you make your way up to wheel. This wheel allows you to use more leg strength...the forearms braced against the wall and you using the wall as a bit of leverage. Also...use your breath. All breath out and THEN press up to wheel on your inhale:):):) Good luck...let me know how these help:)
Ashleigh07.01.2016

Lotte18.01.2016
Good morning This is my first class with you as a teacher, and not the last ;-D My lower back is not able to roll over the vertebrae but just comes down as a stick. I know I could roll when I was young, I just can't remember how it felt. All the bending and circling the spine was great and I even ended up having hick ups, so the diaphragma really had a good strech too. thank you and happy Monday
Jennilee19.01.2016
Lotte! You are MOST WELCOME:):):) I am so glad that your back and diaphragm are feeling FREE:):):)
Rachel18.01.2016

Marsha16.01.2016
Thank you so very much! I have a weak back and neck (C5/6 and L4/5 both have had surgeries). I have practiced yoga regularly for the past 2 years to keep my spine flexible and develop strength. I believe this will be what will give me freedom and vitality in my life. This practice and your knowledge really helped me to feel that I have made progress and have hope. I will be seeking more of your videos and expertise. This was truly a mind, body, and spirit opener. Thank you.
Jennilee17.01.2016
Marsha! You are touching my heart with this comment:) I am so glad I can add freedom and vitality to your life:)

Jennilee17.01.2016
Deborah, I want you to know that this comment touched me so very deeply when I read it yesterday. I apologize for not responding earlier (I have been filming here at Ekhart Yoga...14 more classes for you:):):) You have touched my heart...I am so glad you were pain free!!! I usually get comments about how fun or challenging my classes are or how the anatomical knowledge I am so passionate about effects peoples practices:) You sharing how I helped you to a pain free day...I am humbled and grateful and happy:):):) Thank you! I hope I can more in the future:)
Tracey03.02.2016
This was lovely. I liked all of the details and facts, also it was a more gentle practice than I was expecting from the still frame image of the vid of you in a back bend pose. I admit that made me approach a bit nervously though I tried to be open minded, my biggest Yoga lesson "modify modify modify" haha Anyways this was lovely. Super approachable and informative, thank-you!
Jennilee04.02.2016
Tracey! I know...the still of the backbend does look a little daunting:):):) GOOD FOR YOU for taking the chance and going of it:)

Thank you.
Jennilee15.01.2016
Lana! You are most welcome:)
Petar15.01.2016
It is realy easy to follow you. Great job! I have tight hips and happy baby pose is realy hard to do. Also other movements of hip joints are chalengeing. Can you advise? Thank you
Jennilee15.01.2016
Petar! As I wrote to Sabiena up above...doing one leg or hip at a time...on your back so gravity is not a factor...can maybe allow you to find more range of motion. Hip circles for lubrication...again who lying on the back...can be very beneficial for those of us with tight hips:):):)
Sa16.01.2016
So ... this morning I read your blog about the different planes. And now I have just completed this class. I will have an end-of-class cup of tea -:) then this is going on my precious 10 downloads list. Thank you, for your expertise and the confidence you give.

HAPPY FRIDAY LISA:):):) Sending you tropical warmth from FLORIDA, USA!!!
Charlotte26.08.2016
I really enjoy the way you teach and the way you talk . I am a painter and frame my work, often hunched over my desk... I recall the other video of yours which I loved too. Thank you for focusing so well on the areas which need love, space and stretch after being at the desk too long. xx
Jennilee17.01.2017
Charlotte:) So sorry for the delay in this response! I am SO GLAD I could help you with this and other videos:):):) I send your neck, shoulders and back so much LOVE!!! Hip flexors too:):):)
DeAnna11.05.2016
Thank you! I dont usually like classes that have a lot of anotomy cues, as I'm totally intimidated by anatomy. But I like the way you explained its connection to each pose and being present in the the body. Do you teach an anatomy course? I think I could learn this from you.
Jennilee17.05.2016
Hello DeA:) Sorry for the delay in answering! I am so glad you enjoyed!!! We are actually going to be filming an online anatomy course later this year here at Ekhart Yoga:):):) In the meantime make sure to read all the articles I have on Ekhart Yoga's blog:):):)
Michelle17.06.2019
Perfect beginning for a work week, a present for me, thank you Jennilee. Michelle
Louanne17.01.2017
There was so much incessant talking that there was no room to centre. Need more space and quiet in between.
Jennilee17.01.2017
Louanne...so sorry to hear this. As an anatomist I am prone to educate while teaching asana practice...some students love the knowledge and some would rather not have the talking. The great thing is that there are so many fabulous teachers here on Ekhart Yoga that you can find the teacher that fits your needs:):):)
Maria11.04.2017
i can´t believe that some teachers talk tooo much...we are very occidental, hihi...
Jennilee14.04.2017
Maria:) It is so great that there are teachers for everyone...some hold so much sacred space with stillness and silence:):):) I love to educate about the human body...and I am a Bostonian living in New York...we are talkers for sure:):):)
Courtney27.03.2017
Good morning my beautiful teacher! I treated myself to a wake up with Jennilee today. This was a great refresher of the 6 movements of the spine. A great self learning experience, too. I kept hoping we would flow, but sometimes, especially in the morning, this is all our bodies really need. Thank you for aiding in my grounding process, Jennilee. So much love. Xoxo
Jennilee27.03.2017
Courtney:):):) Good Morning Love!!! Fell free always to stop the video and FLOW:):):) And I know you know when a perfect time to do that would be:):):) HAVE A GREAT DAY!!! Hope to see you soon!!!
