This tutorial is meant to give modifications that should only be practiced after a thourough warm up and preparation of the body for deeper backbends. Keep a chair and/or two blocks and a blanket handy for this tutorial. Urdhva Dhanurasana is a deep backbend that is not always accessible to all practictioners. Thighness in the shoulders or wrists can prevent you from coming into the pose fully. In this tutorial, you will be guided through a few modifications that will allow you to safely move into the pose while you work towards the full expression of the pose. Can be done together with Backbend classes like No-frills Backbend class and open up with honesty.

Very nice tutorial from Sandra. I have some osteopenia and these modifications are very helpful in allowing me to keep,this pose in my practice.
