Thank you for such an engaging tutorial that flowed naturally into application. I started the class with almost frozen, painful groins, and during the final constructive rest, the left groin area was shaking, in a way that suggested healing and integration. A class to repeat often in the days/weeks ahead. Heartfelt thanks Jennilee!

A wonderful thorough explanation and exploration thank you Jennilee. In my teacher training we looked a lot at sacral instability - and the role that female relaxin hormones (from pregnancy and periods) play in why females tend to experience more SI problems. Also the fact that the female pelvis has less attachments than the male pelvis to the sacrum makes it less stable. My teacher used this as a strong case for being cautious with how many transitions we make between neutral and open pelvic asanas. For example, she recommended never moving from warrior 1 to warrior 2. I am wondering if you agree with this recommendation? Many thanks for your wonderful teachings :)
20.03.2019
I agree wholeheartedly with that!!! There are so many reasons to not transition from Warrior 1 to Warrior 2 (feet placement is different, front knee becomes compromised, grinding to fix, etc) and the SI laxity issues are one of them! Sounds like you had a great teacher:)):)):))
