This short session will free up tension in the shoulders, neck and jaw. The simple poses will calm your nervous system and soften your facial expression. Great for those who build up tension in the upper region of your body.

Thanks for this lovely releasing class. I woke up with a crick in the right side of my neck, probably after sleeping in a funny position. This class really helped to release the tension there. Thank you ;-)

This was such a relaxing morning exercise for me. Can you tell me if the jaw is connected to any auditory nerves? I hear high pitched rings in my ears when I do certain jaw positions

Great practice, Jose, and fun too. When I opened my eyes after the jaw circles, my cat who usually "does" yoga with me in the mornings, was looking at me with a really alarmed expression on her face, probably because she had never heard so many crackles and pops come out of my face. Thank you!

Nice practice José, I feel really good my jaw was poping like crazy, as soon my started the class I did have a really sharp pain but after that was all right!! I just wanna ask you to do a class for runners, feet ankles the whole nine yards, I bet is gonna hurt but I'm up for your challenge!! Good class! Namasté.

Dear Jose, thank you for this nice and interesting class. I had never before moved my jaw in this range of motion so mindfully. I found it a bit difficult to breath in and tense up my face at the same time (just before each lion breath). I guess I was also closing my nostrils by crunshing the face....

I have a lot of TMJ pain and this practice really helped relieve the tension and pain that I woke up with. I also find that I can incorporate these stretches while at work and throughout my work day if I am feeling tension in my neck and jaw...with my door shut of course. Ha!! Thanks so much!! Your cues and voice are very calming. :)

Thank you so much, Jose. I've been looking for a session to help with chronic neck and jaw tension (add shoulders!), so I was delighted to find this on my personal page this morning. All I want now -- to add to this session -- is one that also helps with shoulder tension. I seem very 'skilled' at bringing these 3 areas together into tightness ... even after I finish doing a yoga session :( . Thank you so much for this class! For the last few weeks I have had tremendous stress in my jaws due to an injury. Finally I have found something that brings some relieve! And hopefully if I do this more often it can keep me away from the dentist (because of grinding my teeth). So again: thank you José. This has been really helpful.

This is the most AMAZING workout for the neck. I've had a really tight neck for over two years now. Physio, Qigong, Somatics, massage, nothing really made any long-term difference. Following Jose, stretching the deep tissues for 2 minutes turned out to be exactly what I needed. After doing this workout twice, the tension has nearly all disappeared! And now, whenever I feel it creeping back again, I know what to do. A bit of deep stretching and a bit of monkey face and my neck is as good as new. Thank you Jose, you're my savior!

I'm recovering from a concussion and headaches are frequent visitors. Today's headache reached an 8 out of a 10 scale for pain. After this practice, the headache reduced to a 4-5. I'll be coming back to this class for sure. Thank you Jose. xoxo

Hi that was great for neck and jaw but found sustained position hard for my knees. If you could offer other sitting positions that would be great as those of us with knee issues struggle for that long. Great otherwise though:)

Dear Barbara, you can do several things: 1: If you felt the knees compressing with the floor and therefore painful knees => place a blanketunder the knees for extra padding. 2: You can also put an extra pillow under the hips. 3: You can also do some mvements for the legs in between, like down dog 4: you can also try: crossed legged position,straight legs forward or any other seated position. I hope this helps. Let me know.
