Squatting should be natural to everybody but it's a fact that a lot of people can't squat. Mark will show you the beginnings of squatting so you can get started and some more extreme variations for those already able to do them.

uff, my elbows really cant touch the floor even though my feet are on the floor .... its because of a very tight lower back that I just cant get rid of ... So if I may make a wish I would wish for a lower back loosening session... :)
Mark04.12.2019
Hi Kiki! Yes, it might be a tight low back that's restricting your ability to get elbow to floor in a squat. But there may be other factors too. But your request has been noticed for a future video - loosening up your low back! See you back here soon!

Great to explore new pathways. Any suggestions for a prep practice for knees? My knees were objecting rather than feet and hips.

Hi Pamela! Thanks for your comment. We've just spent 2 days shooting more classes for EY - inc 1 especially for you and your question! Watch this space...!

Thank you for the tutorial. Great goal to get to a full squat! If you can’t squat with your heels to the ground because of tight calves and Achilles, what should you do? Should you try the progressions with heels raised or something different?
C15.04.2019
Thanks! I'll give it a try.
Mark15.04.2019
Hi C! Glad you enjoyed it! If you can't get your heels to the floor yet, try holding on to a partner or a heavy chair/windowsill (see the section in the video), which will give your calves/achilles tendons a chance to get used to getting your heels to the floor over time. Let me know how you get on.

Hi Mark, Super nice, challenging so...after few repetitions I was amazed how delightful it became. Progression comes quickly even if it was not the primary goal. Thank you!
Mark01.12.2019
Hi Barbara! Thank you! And so glad it worked for you! And yes, if we stay consistent with our training - whatever it is - the gains won't be long in coming!

Hi Mark! the sequence was super nice. I´m a person for which squatting is natural, but you show me extreme variations that were happily challenging. Thanks!

Excellent! Always good to try something a little different!

Haha where's my squat gone?! Squat sitting was easy once but so out of practice. A great session to get me back there. Thank you
