Thank you Jenny-Lee. Had lot of fun and some great eye rolls from my labrador as I toppled and wobbled. I broke my leg a year ago in serveral places and all the metalwork comes out on Monday. Yikes! Fun to have some silly flying about before I venture to crutches for a while. Love all boxes and hollows.
Jennilee20.02.2017
Samantha:) I am so glad you could have fun before today when the metal is removed!!! I send you lots of HEALING energy!!! Big Hug to the Labrador!!!

Jennie, I was not able to do the side plank wth leg up but I loved loved loved the warm up and preparation. A little hard for me to lift the leg... Wonderful class. Thank you and blessings
Jennilee13.02.2017
Martha... I chuckle because even though I did the video with the leg up I am so not very good at it!!! I am a true wobbler:):):)

That filled in the gaps very nicely - particularly liked the tips about the feet work in the poses thank you
Jennilee15.10.2020
I am so glad Catherine!!! You are so very welcome:):):)

Thank you Jennilee for this fun class. I love side planks and do them every day either in my yoga practice or in my fitness routine, so much fun. Namaste
Jennilee13.02.2017
Andrea!!! AWESOME:):):) So good for the core!!! I recently have fallen more in love with them...I think I went for years without really practicing them...but I love how I feel when I do:):):)
Magdalena09.02.2017
Yes, yes, yes! Can't wait to try this this weekend! :)
Magdalena12.02.2017
Hey again, it went really really well! :) The trick to roll back a bit from high plank before rolling to the side makes a lot of difference. The only thing I am still struggling with is to bring down the sole of the lower foot. I am not sure whether my ankles are not flexible enough or if I am missing an important cue here. You're a great teacher, Jennilee. Do you happen to plan more classes on arm balancing poses and/or inversions like Bakasana, Handstand, Pincha Mayurasana or Sirsasana in the near future? Have a lovely week! :)
Jennilee10.02.2017
Magdalena:):):) I love your yes's!!! Let me know how it goes:):):)
Jennilee20.02.2017
Magdalena...Bringing the sole of the lower foot down is so hard for some of us! One...it could be your ankle bone/joint itself! Other than that...try bending the bottom knee, plant the foot, reach for top foot, extend top leg and THEN try to straighten the bottom leg...sometimes this helps! For some practitioners the bottom leg really never straightens:):):)

Hi Jennilee, that was just super! My shoulders feel amazing after this class, so open and relaxed. I found the little 'shift back' in plank before turning into 'side plank' really useful in terms of getting the balance just right! Most of the time I have to faff around in side plank for a few seconds until I feel the alignment is correct; but this very neat trick seemed to put me in just the perfect position :-)! Many thanks as always for your excellent instructions......! I will be seriously focused on 'shoulder integration' in the future and I have finally totally understood what 'plugging in' really means :-):-):-). C XXX ॐ
Jennilee13.02.2017
YAHOOOOOOOO CATHY!!!! I love to PLUG IN:):):) I am glad you "got it"...welcome to the shoulder integration lovers club:):):)
Stefanie09.03.2017
Hello Jennilee :) Thank you so much for your detailed explanations and step-by-step instructions!! I understand the upperarm rotating out to bring the shoulderblade on the back, but what about my elbows? Is it okay for the elbows to be a little bit overextended and the elbowcrease to look forward towards my fingers? Lots of love
Stefanie09.03.2017
Thank you!! :)
Jennilee09.03.2017
Hi Stefanie:):):) Thank you for your comment:) For the elbows...I am never a big fan of hyperextension of any of the joints...especially if the joint is bearing weight and gravity is a factor. If you are a higher extender in the elbow, turn your elbow creases towards each other slightly:):):)
Margot12.02.2017
I'm very grateful for this yummy class! Here in Massachusetts I've been doing a lot of shoveling so this is just what my shoulders and back needed to feel balanced again.
Jennilee13.02.2017
Margot! I am a Boston girl borne and raised:):):) I feel you...we got similar snow over here in upstate NY!!! Much love to your shoulders!!!

Ha Eureka! You are a mathematician/gravity defiant/yoga teacher! XDXDXD! I always had trouble with this plank side specially on my left shoulder and tonight was not the issue, straight leg, foot on the ground and shoulder rotated was supporting my pose! Your instructions were so clear that my body did it automatically,(didn’t have to wear my yoga helmet XD) thank you very mucho! And one more time this class is an add on to my favorites! Mucho luv Jennilee! ॐ

Fantastic Jennilee. Awesome class. I have been practising side plank every day and I am loving the variations and tips you give, so helpful when teaching to be able to give different options. I feel stronger in this posture already with your particular instruction given to the anatomy. A lovely reminder of the privilege of being taught by you at Suryalila..
