I was following along with the program, but I had to take a pause due to a non-yoga-related injury to my foot. After a few days off, I was feeling very sluggish and lost at how to pick back up with the program. This class was exactly what I needed! Thank you!

Whew! That was quite a blast. I found that I had little space for the breath in the pose with a tucked pelvis on forearms and it provided a really interesting space to explore breath. Thank you for this experience.

Back to this class again, after many months. Appreciate the gains in strength experienced in the tucked pelvis pose, I've been exploring how to inhabit poses and experiences with grace and ease, especially when they are most difficult and I've found a new depth here as I reflect on my past comment. Yes, because the abdominal muscles are so contracted, breath is different - not so deep, but shallow breath has also its place in practice. How very insightful Isabel. Thank you.

I have no core strength to raise myself from lying down without using my legs. Are their gentler exercises I could do which may help?

Hi Dominique; all the other core exercises will help you build up strength. Maybe a very good and gentler option would be to do this same exercise but not go all the way down to the floor, just roll until say your first ribs are on the floor and then roll right back up again. Once that goes well you can add a centimeter every time. But don't worry too much about it, this exercise has also to do with mobility of the spine, and maybe this particular exercise doesn't work for you. Keep practicing ad your body will develop as it should. Thank you!

Likewise. I hold onto the back of my legs in going up or down in the first abs exercise, otherwise, I may injure my lower back. I also need to work more slowly. Will try not going down so far as Anat suggests. Thanks,
