Jeff talks about thoughts and feelings as if they were our 'inner children" that just want to be loved and included in awareness. Sometimes we seem to be overwhelmed by anger, fear, sorrow; it's like there are all kinds of "children" shouting for our attention at the same time, resulting in a seeming chaos. How can we begin to find peace in the midst of the chaos? How can we begin to turn lovingly towards our "children" and embrace them as part of the moment, seeing them not as mistakes, or punishments, or signs of our failure, but as welcome guests in the open space of meditation? This is a radical self-love!

Thank you Jeff for sharing this new refreshing way of living life with acceptance and welcoming all the things as they come in whatever form. I love your talks. You are truly an amazing and inspiring teacher. I got up really early this morning to view today's video. I have truly enjoyed every one so far. So happy you are doing these talks on Ekhart Yoga. All the teacher's just seem to be picked from the cream of the crop. Welcome aboard this beautiful space that I get to enjoy so far away. Thanks, blessings and namaste,

Thanks for sharing these ideas. This is the first video in the series I've watched and it's great information. I love the concept of our mind saying that we have to meet all the children at once as well as the concept that the heart has no time--both so true and so good to hear stated so well. Namaste.

Hi Jeff loved watching and partaking in your videos. Very interesting to see how you have found a way of living which is honest and loving. I think it is wonderful to find your thoughts on a Yoga site. As often when learning we can see our teachers as the enlightened ones and become goal orientated..to be better physically and be better mediators.. As someone who has lived with chaos that the western medical profession, I believe would have diagnosed as bi polar I have found being and allowing my raw pain and even not naming or diagnosing it is a creative way of loving myself and accepting who I am I would have loved to ask you a question about people who are suicidal or follow voices which may lead them to danger and if you have found it possible to work with your ideas at this stage? I appreciate it if you can not answer this here..so thanks again for this loving series...we need to be brave to do this in a world that pushes us constantly even within spirituality and certainly within the mental health profession love and thanks Katrina

I find this very helpful and quite a relief to be honest. I have been on this path of finding my Self a while now, years actually, and sometimes I completely lost my wat but still returned. Lately there has been this goal orientated feeling to being spiritual and it has almost become a trend. If you read the so-called spiritual magazines and social media it is so fashionable to do yoga and share meditation experiences. I had to learn to stay within myself and not set goals, difficult for me as I exist on setting goals in work etc. A recent physical set back prevented me from doing yoga and I felt so lost and disorientated without my daily spiritual routine. Yoga to me is so much a way into myself that I can not even seperate it from my daily life any more. And with my yoga practice I also do my daily meditation. I had all those thoughts-that I'm doing it wrong, it is not working. Now I know I can accept all of it. Those thoughts as well and not feel dissatisfied after a meditation or berate myself for doing it wrong.

I'm so intrigued by your thoughts on emotions as possibly a remembrance of past feelings...I think in another video you used the example of dinosaurs. Really, many emotions are not our own. I find it comforting to realize (and I hope I'm able to remember this next time I'm in distress) this. Thank you!
