Don’t worry just keep trying! It took me about 5 years of yoga practice before Downward Dog felt like a rest position! Remember the roll up is a mix of spinal mobility and abdominal strength so if your spine feels ok then try rolling back until you feel shaky and hold it. This will help build strength in the place you personally need it. Don’t forget to breathe! You’ll get there.

I am a follower of your classes and enjoy Pilates so much after doing yoga for many years. It has been really helpful to work from my center. Since more yoga classes are available on this platform than pilates, I do repeat your classes quite a lot...I thank you very much for the explanations. Looking forward to enjoy new classes.

Thankyou Ruth, I’ve been doing Pilates for 5 months attending some live classes. I did yoga for 20 years but developed a fair amount of compression with the extension work. Realised I needed to do some core I turned to Pilates. My back is so much better . However I have an issue with the rolll ups. I can only do them with my arms passed my head at the moment but I find my pro lapse which generally doesn’t give me any issues bulges after. Your explanation of the breath really helped. If there’s anything else you can add ., I would be most grateful. I’m enjoying learning my new skill. Your classes are excellent. Thankyou
