Starting slowly and quietly relaxing your nervous system, realigning the pelvis and releasing the spine. Then we use simple and fun rolling around the floor movements as a way to find a subtle but powerful connection between your feet and spine - awakening the Bandha in your Pada (foot)!  Pada Bandha connects you to Uddiyana and Mula Bandha, so the whole of the spine is awake! This class includes a gentle yet quite challenging standing sequence and satisfying seated pose.  Get ready to roll around!

Dear Aki, thank you for that class. I am right now struggeling with pain in my right foot and your teaching helped me to reconnect my foot with my whole body. What a good feeling. It is so nice to have the chance to have you as a teacher, evenso it is not always easy ( english is not my mother language) to follow all the instructions! Namaste

Thank you for this amazing teaching of the feet to the spine. It has really helped me alot! When i feel the connection from the feet to the pelvis , the uddiyana bandha is switched on and i also feel the shoulder blades move down.

Aki!!! I completely agree with Christine. I just loved the juicy rolling and creativity here, so fun and interesting, allowing me to explore realms of my pelvis I didn't know I had! I found I could connect my legs into my pelvis and spine in a way I haven't managed to before, so thanks for providing me with a roadmap for that. I found that when I concentrated on the sliding /gliding at my core, that my breath hardened around my heart on the exhalation. This was only true for standing poses in the saggital plane, not when I did any of the rest of it, which was truly delicious. Do you have any ideas as to how I can explore this phenomenon further? Thanks as always you rock 'n roll yogini! xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Nina, I guess you are speaking of vira 1 ? Try softening your sternum and xyphoid, which is in your solar plexus as you breathes in and out. Also see if your sacrum is tensing up. If that doesn't help, write again. X

Reply to your second message Oh good. That way, your front body remains soft and makes it easier to access the mobile freeing core. Glad it worked. :)
