Very nice tutorial. Great for beginners and seasoned practitioners, like myself, to return to these basics at times.
Trisha13.04.2015
Always appreciate your exquisite attention to the fine points, Marlene! Thanks for this helpful tutorial. xo
Elisabeth11.04.2014
Thanks a lot for these clear and detailed instructions esp.for the hints of the subtle twist and the backbend coming from the mid upper back. I practice Yoga for about 4 years and although the shape of the pose looked o.k I always had the feeling that something is wrong the way I am doing it. Now I just did your class and the warrior I finally, finally feels right and comfortable for me now!!. . Once again thank you for this perfect tutorial. It would be great if you could do also one for warrior II. Namaste!
Ramani11.04.2014
Excellent class. Detailed technical explanation cleared up several unresolved issues in my Virabhadrasana I. I need to remember to point the hip of the front leg in the direction of the back heel and roll the upper thigh muscle of the back leg inwards. Very useful tip, indeed. Thanks so much, Marlene.

Thank you Marlene, really enjoyed the detailed guidance and opportunity to feel the alignment in detail plus the slight twist in Warrior 1. Grateful for your class. Namaste.
Milina22.04.2015
Thank you for instruction! I needed it really, as I always pushed myself to be in alignment with mat and I didn't feel well in the pose. Hope there will be more step by step classes. Namaste!
Martha10.04.2015
Hi Marlene, This is a great class to improve not only warrior I but also downward dog. My left knee is not that strong so I can't hold the warrior pose that long on that side, so, whole on the pose, I straighten it a for a few seconds and go back into it. I am wondering if you have a comment about this. Thank you greatly for all the careful details, very nice. Thank you. Martha
Elinore14.04.2014

Marlene, thank you so much for your mini vinyasa series. This one in particular has been very helpful for me as I struggle to do warrior 1 on my more inflexible side.

Very nice. Appreciated the precise description and feel that it helped me into a more comfortable Warrior.
Dionne11.04.2015
Thank you Marlene! This is the first time in a long time that I felt 'the burn' in my thighs doing Warrior One. Taking the time to get the alignment right really got the heat going :) Thanks and Namaste!
Alison12.04.2014
I love your karma classes and the details are really helpful as I can't 'see' the shape I'm making. These extra details as Elisabeth mentioned the subtle twist, hip moving back and backbend from mid back really help me to 'feel the body' producing a much better pose. Fantastic! Looking forward to more karma classes. Thanks Marlene.
Katie12.04.2014
This was great. No matter how long a person does yoga there is always room for refinement. Looking forward to the next krama.
Dawnisha16.04.2015

Nanette12.04.2015
Thank you for a wonderful explanation. I've been doing this month's Warrior program and kept having pains in my hip flexors, as if I'd overextended them. Now I realize that I was torquing my hips instead of rotating my leg to "square my hips"! Thank you for making this class, Marlene! Daniella
Marca13.04.2015
Thank you Marlene for your clear explination of this pose. This really helps a lot. Namasté
Rachael22.05.2015

Chanel14.04.2015
This was my first time taking a Krama class. I enjoyed the step by step process of building up to the pose. The details that you provided were very on point. Thank you.
Kat31.08.2016
The hip alignment clarification and the noting the small twist that happens in Warrior I was very helpful!
Nina16.03.2018
The subtle rib cage rotation made all the difference. Before, the knee on the straight leg was starting to hurt, and after, I began to feel a nice stretch in the calf muscle instead. This worked on both sides! I'm always happy to exchange pain for ease -- thank you Marlene.
Marlene16.03.2018
HI Nina, it is exactly that, the subtle rotation of the ribcage instead of turning hips forward, why you don't have knee pain anymore. When we start to turn, tweak at the hips to align, it will all go into the knee and you don't want that so doing warrior 1 on the right side, keeping left hip a bit open and in line with left knee and foot and then rotate slightly ribcage in line with front-line mat. will make sure your knee is safe. Well done and happy to hear this worked out just fine for you:-)
Roxana22.07.2016

nice class, but very talkative. i understand that it is necessary to do well the asana...but few minutes in silence will be great...i'm very talkative myself, that why i need SILENCE, hihi...regards
Marianne05.07.2017
