In this class, we’ll explore backbending in a low key, relaxed, way. Instead of Sun salutations and standing poses, we will practice core strengthening poses and Plank pose holds, so you can expect to be energised! With Cat/Cow, Lizard Lunge, Plank, Akarna Dhanurasana (Shooting bow pose), Salabhasana (Locust pose), Dhanurasana (Bow pose) and more.

No props needed.

I thank you for doing this class with me Sandra.My intention was to walk to my local leisure centre for my usual yoga class but the pavements are too icy to safely walk .I loved every part of your class as all the postures were most helpful in opening up areas which needed movement. A truly perfect class for a winters day when muscles lack stimulation.Will be rolling out my mat tomorrow to repeat this .

I have been practising your flow with balance class every morning while my local leisure centre for exercise classes is closed.However when a new class of yours popped into my inbox I decided to up my game and try a longer class.I managed everything except the right sided pigeon pose as I have a replacement hip which curtails certain movements. All the achy parts of my lower back and hips now feel lubricated and you have created such a helpful yoga class for the dead of winter here in Scotland.You bring calmness and sunshine into the room..Thank you Sandra.

Hi Ruth, please be mindful when you do this class and focus in backbending on lengthening your spine first! Modifying when needed and practice love and kindness to your body is an extra bonus! Hope this helps you <3
