A Yin-Yang yoga class, where you'll be guided through a blend of Yin and Yang yoga poses and Qigong to build resilience in the knee joint by exploring how to strengthen, protect, and move your knees with greater awareness and care. We'll begin with Qigong movements to increase circulation and support healthy joint lubrication. Then, we'll gently activate and strengthen the muscles that support the knees — especially the legs and hips — while enhancing balance and stability. As you move, José will help you tune in to the natural direction of your thighs, so you can avoid the habit of forcing the knees into positions that don’t serve them. Rather than focusing on perfect foot placement or outer alignment, you’ll learn how to notice where your body wants to go — and how that subtle shift in awareness can prevent strain and friction in your knees.
In the Yin part of the practice, we'll move into poses that open the hips and stretch the hamstrings. We'll end with a nourishing Savasana, inviting deep rest and recovery, and allowing the benefits of the practice to settle into your body.
