This class is inspired by my teacher, Gary Carter and my colleague, Steve Bracken on our Teacher Trainings. It's packed with wonderful wisdom about mobilising into and through our hip joints, and how our shoulder girdle and arms become our wings to help propel us through space. We flow from a deep exploration of King Pigeon pose into a dynamic floor sequence, using our wings - the generator of the movement. This is a strong class with a focus on gentle, loving awareness and safety. Come, spread your wings!

This approach is so very unique to static yoga - loved your connection to the octopus and the honouring of our individual bodies-much more challenging than it looks. Thank-you for your openness to play.
Helen22.04.2020
Thanks Laurie...I love your comment and observation here. That openness to play is a wonderful teaching in this style. Enjoy and bring in to your practice. best wishes Helen x

I love these movements, although I really felt it in my hips, and found it rather difficult to move so freely in pigeon today. I really feel it is beneficial to move like this, it is making quite a difference to my practice.xxx

Thank you so much Helen for this class. It's the first time I tried a class with you and my hips are now so happy I made this choice this morning! I really appreciate your version of pigeon moving to figure four and forward bending, and all the preparation you made us explore before that to reach this pose. Simply amazing! I love it :) Have a great day

idit22.10.2020
hello Helen thank you for your classes. i am not sur i completely understand the difference between the dinosaur and the dolphin movement.is it just the range of the movement?
Helen22.10.2020
HI Idit thanks for tuning into this class. ok the difference between these 2 tails is the origin. the dinosaur tail originates from the perineum in between the legs and has a thick and wide base from the pelvis. The dolphin can originate from anywhere in the body and can move up and down in the vertical plane however both tails can move in any direction. hope this helps ! thanks so much Helen x
