This class focuses on our connective tissue, or fascia. Modern Meridian Theory states that our life giving energy, or chi, flows in channels of structured water in our fascia. If our fascia stays healthy, juicy, pliable and strong, this energy will be able to flow abundantly and harmoniously, and we are healthy. This class is built around those ideas, making it possible for all tissues to slide and glide easily. Continuous movement without strain is the key. Have a block and blanket ready.

Amazing class Anat, thank you. It manages to be strong AND easy. I'm experiencing unwelcome menopausal fatigue and muscle ache. It's been interfering with my enjoyment of yoga and even my ability to do it. Somehow this class is possible and feels delicious. Thank you.

This is wonderful to read, Sarah. Those are difficult processes to go through, and it can give us the feeling of not knowing or trusting our bodies anymore. I hope you can find more practices that remind you how strong and able you also are.

thank you Anat, yesterday life overwhelmed me and I felt in a cloud of negativity and despair, I would not have returned to my yoga mat today, if your class had not popped up; what a change, I feel lighter and at the end of the practice; figures of eights in my head and body as if out of nowhere! Oh Anat! As always beautiful! I couldn't have asked for a better lunch break away from my laptop. I felt seriously depleted in energy before I started. Thank you, Anat! In this very strange year, your flows that change the pace work wonders... after the class I thought how fascias are like something stable and wise within us...some kind of reminders. I tend to be very inpatient with myself, in life and in yoga sometimes, but I think there are no quick fixes for fascia... no quick solutions for the important things within us.. <3

Dear Anat, your classes never fail to deliver! Part yoga instructor, part spiritual therapist, part personal motivator. I have a question about the sacrum, tailbone and SI joints. In classes where for example I swing my knees to the left lying down, or twist deeply, my spine cracks and creaks. Is it likely to be the tailbone or SI joint? It's never painful, just loud! And always more so on the left side. I don't push hard or strain in my poses (partly thanks to your wonderful explanations and invitations, as indeed is the case with all Ekhart yoga teachers). But is there anything I should do (or not do) about this?

Hi Paula, cracks and creaks can be great! Some people have to pay for some professional therapist to do it for them ;-) It normally means that some definition takes place, it liberates some energy and fluid, and there is nothing dangerous there if it doesn't hurt. Enjoy it!
