You've probably heard this mantra many, many times before - but what does it mean? In this short class, you'll learn more about the meaning of the mantra and become familiar with chanting it out loud. Aum!

Surely it is the best explanation of the meaning of the mantra that I have ever heard, brief, clear and concise. Thanks for the way you teach Irina. This is Yoga! Love

Really loved your explanation of AUM - Have been doing this mantra for a number of years but didn't really understand its meaning - thank-you! A wish: Could you please consider creating a class where we do OM with mama beads or for a longer session - Like the Durga one you do - that has been very helpful to me in daily life and would like to have this chanted as well - Thank-you for considering this request, Namaste Laurie

Lovely, I've been reading up on Aum on the Internet and was happy to see this in here.

Tagged this onto the end of another practice session. How fascinating. I have been chanting Pali/Sanskrit mantras for 14 years (which I like to translate) but had never considered the root translation of the word mantra itself. Interesting and nourishing exposition of aum/om as well. Seems you have a grounding in both Buddhism and Hinduism. Thanks again.
