This nourishing, restorative practice, which combines Yin yoga with the stimulation of specific acupressure points, is especially beneficial if you experience tinnitus — a condition marked by ringing or buzzing in the ears — or if you’re seeking relief from chronic neck or jaw tension.
We begin with supported poses done lying down — either on the mat or in bed — allowing your body to fully relax and surrender. During these poses, José will guide you in stimulating acupressure points around the base of the skull, ears, and neck using tennis balls or your fingers. Applying gentle pressure to these targeted points helps tone the vagus nerve, support ear health, release tension in the head, neck, and shoulders, and create space for deeper rest. To support deep relaxation, José incorporates the soothing Humming Bee Breath (Bhramari). We finish with a deeply restful Savasana.
Props: Bolster, pillow, blanket, two blocks, two socks, four tennis balls, and an optional eye pillow.
