In this class we will explore the concept of doing inner work from a space of love. Can we hold ourselves 'in love' while simultaneously challenging ourselves? For so many people, challenge is often accompanied by harsh inner criticism. However, we can cultivate and learn to self-examine from a place of love; a practice that can transform our yoga and our life.

With Sirsangustasana, Eka Pada Mukha Svanasana, Malasana, Marichyasana II & III and more.

All you need is a cushion or a rolled up mat for the deeper poses.

This practice tested my flexibility, and the reminder to be gentle was kept in mind. I have several limitations with my body (knees and short arms), so I modified the poses as needed. Namaste.

Modifying is a beautiful act of love toward yourself! As a yoga teacher I had to learn the hard way that doing things the hard way was doing damage to my body. When out energy feels good and we relsih a challenge, it is good to do so, but always withing the limitations of our body. And that's different for everyone, so I'm happy you stayed with the class and modified where you saw fit :) I will have a class come up about Boundaries soon, so let me know if you do that one and what you think! Namasté

I am no stranger to being confronted with patterns and stored emotions during a yoga practice. It can be a challenging experience and also help to release stuff that it does not serve me to hold on to. I can shake it off, after having come crashing down on my mat, and try again. However, going into a practice with the mindset of "what will I find?" and having the intention of meeting it with love and compassion was a first, and a totally different experience. Life requires me to be strong, especially emotionally and mentally and this has taken its toll on the softness towards myself, my efforts and judgement of my results. I will work to rectify this from now on. Thank you for a lovely, but above all, useful practice!

That makes me so happy to read.... meeting everything with love first has been a transformational game changer for me! I really wish it will do the same for everyone doing this class! I just finished filming today and one class is called "Soft Power". I am curious to know what you'll think of that one!

Thanks Sandra. Fear seems to be at play in my heart and mind. The class was a good reminder to bring love to my feeling of fear. I am grateful for your wisdom.
