Hi Andrew! Thank you for the great practice. I have a question about the pose where you bring your forehead up to meet your knee - to me, this is very uncomfortable for my neck, if not exactly painful. I've brought a hand up to support my head, as this still allows me to use my core muscles but takes the stress out of my neck muscles. Is there a better way to adjust this pose to avoid too much neck strain?

Hi Sidsel, try tucking your chin so you maintain length to the back of your neck. If this still creates strong discomfort, keep your head on your mat.

Thanks, Andrew! I was not looking forward a level 2 class today, but, a challenge is a challenge! Brilliant guidance, somehow your words penetrate, almost hypnotically, making it possible to focus on more than on thing at any given time. Valuable lessons learned, or should I say: lots to think about an implement in future practices to come! Also, I agree with my fellow yogis here in the comment section :-) It's amazing how much a good teacher can put into a 30 minute practice :-) ....and here I was, after all this time, and so many classes, thinking I was heading for a mere core work out :-)

Lovely session Andrew! Thank you for that. I think all the other yogis have aptly said what I felt during and after this class. The only thing I struggle with is knowing if I'm really doing the mula bhanda properly. I think I'm pulling up the right muscles or parts of me, but I noticed that my butt cheeks tighten. I don't think they are supposed to do that. And how strong is the pull up supposed to be? Just wondering. Thanks again. Namaste!!

Hi Dionne, try just drawing up from around your cervix, practice holding it going from standing and moving in a simple forwards bend and then back up to standing :)

Great class! I kept on feeling tension in my neck during the poses that required lifting the head to the knee. I don't know what that's about, maybe my positioning was off? I always notice in your classes that the stronger poses feel like fun & not like work. I really appreciate that. Thank you Andrew! Oh, you're my daughter's favorite here on Ekhart Yoga. She says, "Do Wrenn!" (She's 3.) :)
