This class worked perfect for me :) thank you Anat There is one thing, I think this is the reason I think twice if I take a yin class: I can handle well with my breath when poses get tough or or holding the pose pulls on my nerv, but my pulse goes quicker. Really good practice and test to hold on and stay calm :)

Thank you anat. This was lovely. Aquestion: why do we first do the (entire) right side and then the left? And is there an "advantage"/special effect of practicing multiple poses of one side first before doing the other side? Thank you!

Not really; there are different ways of approaching the practice, and this is one of them. I sometimes enjoy doing a sequence on one side, observe the state it creates, the differences between the sides, and then do the whole thing on the other side. It's a different approach, has its advantages as you say, but it's not necessarily better, just different. :-)

I really enjoyed the practice and the concepts of supporting the organs that handle our detox--really fascinating to consider and a good counter perspective. Sleeping swan is just too difficult for me to relax in: my hip flexor in the extended leg is simply too stressed. Any suggestions for a modification or alternative? I moved into a slightly wide supported child's pose this time and I could still feel a stretch on the outer hips. Thank you and namaste.

Hi Melinda It seems you found a great alternative; you could try supporting the extended hip with a folded blanket, or a shoelace or square pose, where the outer hip is still stretched with no stress on the hip flexors. I hope it works out, let us know! Thanks for joining ;-)

That was fantastic Anat! Felt really tense in my whole body, and the dreary weather here in Denver didn't help the situation, but this class loosened and melted alot of that away. Quick question when I do full dragon fly, my feet turn inward and don't flex up like yours does, though my pelvis tilts in and down and I feel the stretch on the lower inner part of my internal upper leg. Is that a normal orientation, or do I have to make some special adjustment that I'm not aware of? Thank you!

Hi Dionne, it's totally fine if your toes point inwards, there's absolutely no need to try and keep them up. The reasons involved in the orientation of the feet have to do with different aspects of your skeleton, from the position of your hip sockets to the spirals your bones make. Don't worry about it: if you feel the stretch and can relax in the posture you are doing it right ;-)

I must say though that as an introduction to brahmacharya, I found it a bit strange to jump right away to the situation where you need to detoxify because you didn't succeed in brahmacharya...
