A full-on, all round flow with twists and turns and several backbends and arm balances. Listen to your body and flow where it feels right and save some things for later. This is a class you can come back to again and again as you gain mobility and confidence.
Dear Amy, thank you very much for this creative class. Urdhva Dhanurasana is the most difficult yoga asana for me. Unfortunately, I can't keep my arms straight, which means that my upper back is way too stiff. Would you like to propose a series of classes about the topic? I start to believe that I need to have a teacher in person correcting me while I practice Urdhva Dhanurasana. Namaste, Francesca.

Hi Francesca, I'm afraid Amy is no longer teaching for EkhartYoga but we do have a few Wheel pose tutorials you might like to check out -

Since you mentioned your upper back, you might find these classes helpful too (Nichi's works on flexibility), Julie's on strength - both of which are important:

I hope you find something useful here 🙏🏼

That was so fun! And you made me laugh a ton. Thank you :)
Sina16.09.2020
That was so wunderful- thank you! I had so much fun with this playful flow- did this class all the time smiling! Yes- and I did fall over at the "threading the needle" thing. That made me laugh even more. Namasté
Ilse01.08.2020
Wonderful , I am not a good side-crower, but I didn't fall over in the thread-the-needle thingy, but that is probably just today! I enjoy your classes, feels like the first time I took yoga classes and never knew what's coming next! xxx
Amy01.09.2020
Same for me, Ilse! They get SLIGHTLY more predictable with time but I like to keep your brain ticking over, instead of going into autopilot (helps create new synaptic connections in your brain which *might* help prevent dementia) and develop strength in all sorts of weird and wonderful ways. Thanks for your lovely comment, see you soon!
Amy01.09.2020
PS you can live without side crow but I am going to make a tutorial about it for my YouTube channel in a few weeks....
Neny16.07.2020
Sweaty, difficult, challenging with lovely twists! Loved this practice , but still some poses not so ready but fun. Thank you for such a wonderful energizing practice. Namaste🙏🙏
Amy31.07.2020
So glad you enjoyed it, Neny! Gotta love a challenge... Besides, you might get bored if it were all easy ;-)
Karen04.08.2020
Really energising practice, thank you- Surprised myself in all poses, will definately come back to this one to explore some more X
Amy01.09.2020
Karen, I love that message! Love that you surprised yourself and managed some funky stuff. Thank you for taking the time to tell me.
Karoline20.07.2020
Fun, new class :)
Amy31.07.2020
Thanks Karoline!
Michaela05.04.2021
Amy, thank you so much! I am quite a boring OCD-ish person I am not very into new things/tutorial yoga classes, but recently I am trying to experiment with mixed movement more and actually I am learning new things about movement/body and myslef:) thank you and the whole EY for excellent instructions and for your beautiful spirit!
Nicole18.07.2020
Hi Amy, thanks for the class.
I did not make it around the world, got kinda stuck somewhere halfway before collapsing :o
Will def keep repeating.
Rachel28.10.2020
Me neither! I could move my hand under my opposite shoulder but I couldn't figure out how to shift my weight after that without completely dropping my pelvis to the floor. This was a very awkward but super interesting class!
Amy31.07.2020
Ah yes, it's quite normal to get stuck somewhere. All part of the fun You could try using a wall or sofa/coffee table (make sure you're not too close to it, otherwise your backbend will be restrictively tight). Keep me updated!
Deborah18.06.2021
Thank you Amy for your amazing classes. I loved that one even though I couldn't do the side crow pose I loved the flows and the Jane Fonda thing was cool! And I did fall over a bit on the threading the needle but it made me just feel like a kid (my 16 year old daughter was watching and laughing at me so she got a kick out of it too!) :-)
Jennifer06.08.2020
Whoo, this was really challenging in the best way possible! Thank you for this creative practice. I had never been able to go from wild things to wheel before (I could not, for the life of me, figure out what direction my hands needed to turn to while I was upside down hahaha), but somehow it "clicked" today. I look forward to exploring more of your classes, this was my first one!
Amy01.09.2020
YAAAYYY! It is really confusing to go from Wild Thing to Wheel, the hands really do go in all sorts of directions, and trying to learn it online is probably confusing as well. You've just given me an idea for a future YouTube tutorial, so thank you for that! Super well done for getting it, I bet you're doing it all the time now! Go Jen!
Hayley28.07.2020
Thank you, this was a really fun and creative flow. I love that I never know what we're going to do next in your classes - the wobbly thread the needle was my personal favourite!
Amy01.09.2020
You and me, both, Hayley! The next move is often a surprise for me too,! Haha! Great choice of favourite - I'll see about bringing it into another class in the future.
