Enhance the benefits of yoga by introducing Mudra to your practice. The practice of Mudra improves concentration and gives you a focus during your meditation. In this short video we will introduce the most practiced Mudras in Hatha Yoga: Jnana, Chin and Atmanjali Mudra. Mudras can be practiced before, during and after your Asana and Meditation practice, but also anytime you feel you would benefit with a deeper connection with your inner self.

Grazie Francesca! i think the mudras is once again one of these "things" in yoga that you don't value enough until you actually start practicing them and realise how powerful they are. Thank you once again! Namaste! :)

Thank you Francesca. It has been some time since I used Mudras and it was nice to feel how they help quieten the mind and bring a lovely sense of peace. After the video I used them with Metta Meditation and they helped me to keep focus.

Thanks for the class Francesca! I'm now exploring mudras from different sources and now I'm a bit confuse since on a book I have they describe Jnana mudra to be with the hands facing down and Chin mudra with the hands facing up. I know there are some contradictions in the yoga world so this isn't probably the exception!
Kirsty03.02.2020
Hi Riche, you're definitely right - the yoga world isn't an exception! As I understand it (from the research I did writing an article on the subject - https://www.ekhartyoga.com/articles/practice/an-introduction-to-mudras) - in Jnana mudra the hands and fingers face upwards and in Chin mudra they face downwards....but I have found plenty of cases where they are described differently too!
