In this shorter sequence, you will move with slow, easy movements to feel your psoas muscle. Gentle twisting and mild abdominal work will help lengthen the psoas and activate it in a way that may help to release some tension build up in your body. An excellent class to do after any intensive yoga practice or workout, or simply on its own as a gentle practice before going to bed. This short class will help you to get in touch with your body and to lengthen your psoas! With Ardha Navasana variation, Parivartanasana variation, Setu Bandha Sarvangasana, Supta Badda Konasana

So sweet to read Nekehia:) Happy you are able to give that to yourself, that is true empowerment!
Anne Berit04.09.2017
Slowly, gently, focused, very interesting, new(ish) and useful knowledge and experience. I suppose repeated action could make some real change through releasing of (old) tension as well as increased awareness of patterns of movement as well as of mind.
Sandra12.09.2017
Dear Anne, you probably know the mantra "practice, practice, and all will come"! So yes, moving into specific spaces in your body with an open awareness (so not having a "fixing" intention) can help to release specific areas. In the end, if there is any "goal" it would be to finding more natural and free movement in the body, whether that is by releasing or engaging certain muscles
Annemarie12.04.2018
I found it hard today to stay present, it helped a lot, how you focused on all the little details. Thank you :)

Kammy09.07.2019
Very nice! I know my pelvis has been "twisted" for years, and this practice really showed me my asymmetries. I will pair this with Lisa Peterson's psoas work and see if I can start to even out a bit. I really like the encouragement to move slowly and with observation, not judgement or effort. Thank you for your careful instructions.
Sandra10.07.2019
Hi Kammy, so great you find this class helpful! If I can make a recommendation for another class that you might find helpful: https://www.ekhartyoga.com/classes/967/side-line-opening? This class can address left/right imbalances with stretching the fascial lines in asymmetrical poses. Also the foam roller classes that are on the site could help with this. Good luck!
shelly17.10.2017
Lovely! Did the trick!
Eva10.11.2018
Thank you Sandra for this precious class I have done for the second now. The cramp in the thighs becomes already less when doing practices with the inner thighs. It's a mobile cramp, front -, back thighs, also depending on the practices with the legs we are doing. On the left femur it may occur in the left groin by lifting the left leg a little up. Cramp in this area also became already less. I will keep up with practicing the psoas.

Thank you, Sandra. This is a wonderful and soothing class I come back to again and again. Most recently, this class coupled perfectly with another Ekhartyoga class, Recovery from Trauma done last night. This is another reason why I love Ekhartyoga as there is such a rich pool to draw from. Thanks, as ever, for your offerings.

I love this practice. I find it very effective on back, spine and brings awareness to abs. It is a regular practice for me and when I complete the practice I feel more relaxed and grounded. The benefits are many physically and mentally. I am 78 years of age and enjoy the way you have presented this practice. Thank you. Namaste
Sandra15.01.2018
Hello Judy, so honoured to have you taking my class! The effects of the class you describe are exactly those that happen when the psoas relaxes. Thank you for sharing and keep practicing :) Namsté
Judy09.10.2017
thank you again Sandra. I have been doing this practice for the last 5 days and it gets better each day. You are a wonderful teacher. At 78 years old I love the relaxed feeling and release of stiffness which seems to be with me a little more these days.
Judy04.10.2017

Teresa14.05.2020
You are such a gifted teacher...another wonderful class...it is short but so powerful and more importantly insightful. I will repeat this again and again (just as I have been working on my pelvic floor) because it does bring awareness on part of my body that i never felt before. Keep safe.Thank you! :)
Sandra20.05.2020
Yes! The pelvic floor and psoas are so connected and when you are able to allow release, it is nothing less of wonderful! I am so happy you are able to connect to your pelvis! Much love 💕
