Hi , Esther. I struggle very hard with my mind. One year and a half ago I got depression and now it is slowly getting better. I see my negative mind a big obstacle in the way of healing. Can you say few words about refocusing the thoughts? Thank you. I also loved the breathing part!

Dear Ana, sorry to hear about the struggle. Give the mind some space. Your mind is a beautiful tool, the thoughts are being negative. There is this really lovely exercise to start giving yourself breaks from the mind (thoughts) like this. - Relax your attention away from thoughts and mental labels for a few seconds (2-5 seconds) (just be un interested in what the thoughts have to say), and In that clear space of mind, recognize what remains: the sense of presence. Really only for 2-5 seconds, but try and do it as many times a day as possible. 10-12 times. This could break a pattern and reset the mind. Really hope this will work for you. Wishing you well!!

Somehow I woke up with a very stiff neck/shoulder so I had to make quite a few adjustments. I'm not used to not being able to do all asanas fully, so to accept that I had to take it easy was a practice in and of itself...

Hi, Esther. Did the session again in the afternoon... I tend to sweat from hands and feet, so its difficult to maintain focus in all the positions similar to downward dog. I felt a lot of stress in my arms and neck during these asanas in this practice. Any tips to help me get better? Thanks,

Hi Mariana, You need a good non slip mat also non slip when you sweat. Have a look here for ideas. http://www.ekhartyoga.com/blog/best-yoga-mat-review That will make a big difference and you don't have to tense up anymore trying to hold a pose.

What I realised was that it isn't always necessary to practice strong positions in order to get calm, that a practice can be almost purely breathing and subtle movements. Personally, I love your practices. Thank you for your "entrega", i don't know how to say that in english.
