In this Yin yoga class we will boost the Kidney, Bladder, Heart and Small Intestine meridians. Water is the element of winter, and Fire of summer. When you add a little water to fire you get steam, and you can imagine this class to be like a nice Finnish Sauna or Turkish steam bath, created from the meridians. When I talk about meridians in this class, it's not the meridians an acupuncturist would use but the broader 'sinew' channels - or as I call them, the 'myofascial meridian channels'. Although it’s not winter anymore and a warm spring day with summer temperatures I still decided to do this class and it felt great. After gardening most of the day, my whole body ached and now I felt more space in my back and legs. I loved the pace of your class. Thank you 🙏

Marcel I have been stuck with vicious cold for a month. Low immunity from two major traumatic losses, this class was wonderful; really felt chi shifting and immunity boost.Beautiful explained and encouraging voice ☺️

Lovely practice. I appreciate how much information in so few words. Also how open you are to modifying positions to work with what works for a body. One pose I could not get into was the 1/2 butterfly or 1/2 frog on the right side because of arthritis in the right hip. Tried some modifications but none brought a stretch in the left hamstring.

Marcel I enjoyed your class- i missed the explanation about crossing your arms. When you lay on your belly . You stretch your shoulderblades and shoulders it is also The bladder meridiaan right? Thanks for the nice class- love the steamy explanation ! Water & Fire makes steam! ❤️

Hi Roliena, Yes that's correct, the sinew channel of the Bladder meridian, runs alongside of the spine down the leg, and part of it goes over the shoulder-blade (trapezius/rhomboids).Thanks for doing this classed your nice comment!
