This shorter Yin class is especially good when we experience difficulty in dealing with life challenges in general. It stimulates the liver and gall bladder meridians making us softer, calmer and more connected. You can do it on its own or after a Yang practice. I personally love doing it after my Total Body Bliss class, but feel free to add it to any class of your choice.

This yin class, following Total Body Bliss is indeed a perfect pairing of classes, especially for an afternoon practice. The BTB class was energising indeed and now, after this yin practice I feel like I have had a super delicious portion of everything I could possibly want or need. They would of course work beautifully separately as well, depending on what one might feel in the need of.

This was a great practice to release a lot of tension that had built up in my body over the course of a challenging day. What really resonated with me was the idea of the difference between relaxation and comfort. I so often find myself seeking comfort (in food, TV, social media, etc.) when what I really need is relaxation. It takes just a bit more effort to roll out the yoga mat in the evening instead of sinking into the couch with my phone - but it's so worth it!

There were many words of wisdom in this. I took much consolation in the words of changing your practice to help your changing body as you age. Before I had my baby, I could do so many poses without any modification. Now my lower back often aches in poses where it didn’t before. It’s been a long mourning process for me, but I’m slowly coming to appreciate the body I am in now. Thank you.

Yes, I think so. Yin yoga has that great adaptability quality, it can suit many moments. i would definitely give it a try.

Anat, I have deep gratitude to you and for this practice. I've been practicing with you for years on EkhartYoga and this is my first class since a horrible accident last month that has left me unable to walk. My surgery is tomorrow, and in prep, I wanted to complete my physical therapy exercises while listening to one of your slower-paced classes today. With joy, I found I was able to complete the whole class in my fixed leg brace. With wonder, I moved my leg in ways I hadn't considered. You've taught me that the practice is always there for us, and so it was. Thank you.

I did this class multiple times and every time I have a big smile on my face and I feel so good when I'm sitting up at the end. What a perfect class... Thanks Anat! A have a question about the last pose. I did the butterfly as a forward bent and rested my head on a block. Just underneath where my feet so I rested on the block who was on my feet. It didn't hurt but is that ok or is it better to rest the block on my mat?

Hi Joëlle, I think that's fine as long as it is not painful in any way. I do that sometimes too, and sometimes I don't like it and place the block on the mat. Whatever works best!

This has become one of my favourite bedtime classes, it works particularly well after runnig as it also tackles all the areas I tend to get stuck after running. It's so calming and overall lovely, I practice it at least twice a week. Thank you, Anat!

Thanks Anat, lovely start to today:) I do seem to have hurt my Left knee though over last 2 days, so might have to modify rather a lot from now on unfort. It doesn't enjoy kneeling on it, being in bent knee sitting or even straight knee sitting today, so I will see how it feels tomorrow. Pity. B

Hi Barbara, knees need to be treated with love and care indeed, I know all about it. When it gets a little better you can try again; a little roll under it when the leg is straight can be really helpful - as you can see me do - and also elevating the buttocks when sitting, and always supporting and padding where needed. I have a class called Some Knee Love, maybe it can be helpful? here's hoping you get better soon.
