My go-to restorative yoga practice when I feel sick, spaced out and out of balance. This yoga class grounds you, relaxes you, resets your nervous system and makes you feel like a different person after. An absolute must for body and mind on a regular basis! Props needed: block, bolster or blanket, belt.

Dear Ahinoam, I can't imagine what you must be going through. I am so sorry for all your and your countries pain and suffering. But you're right, You can do something that you know will make you feel a little more balanced and connected with your truth, and that balance and truth might touch others as well. Although I understand it can be very hard to find the motivation to do it. Keep looking after yourself please .. Much love to you

Dear Andrea, Practice at a slow, smooth and steady pace. Explore fluidity in your poses. Use gentle movements such as spinal and pelvic undulation, rotation in the joints, counter-poses, and flexion and extension. Amd move from your belly centre , the hara, to make it grounding, satying consciously connected to the earth.. Hope that helps..

Just the class I was looking for after having had surgery three weeks ago, and needing to ease back in to yoga. I now realize how much I take everyday movements for granted, and how powerful and healing these subtle resotative classes are. Thanks for your reply. It means a lot. any specific recommendations for practice for this situation. I find I don't have too much energy...I did start the July program and then simply couldn't find the strength or motivation for it. I find my dear little boy (2.5) is experiencing my lack of patience, fear and worry.....I want so much to control it and simply find I am unable to. scary and sad when I feel we all need each other more than usual. Also I sent you a message some weeks ago. Did you by any chance see it? I did not receive a reply. It was about women who are having infertility issues. I had also sent one about a year ago and was told you were away and would be passed on to you. I appreciate some messages must get lost along the way. Love back and a general thanks for all you have done for me on so many levels. Even though we have never met I find a close friend in you.

My country is at war. The pain and helplessness I feel is indescribable. My 2 precious loved younger brothers are out there fighting and we are at home praying!! It is hard to let go when so much fear is gripping on a daily basis. I have not practiced for 2 weeks for lack of motivation and inability to get myself to practice knowing all the while it will give me the support I need for daily existence- rockets flying overhead, sirens, massive booms. As I was doing this practice lying forward on a bolster in a supported child pose the tears started flowing.....and the booms outside overhead were heard.....I cry for my brothers to come home safe and soon I cry for all the soldiers to come home safe and soon. I cry for lives of our soldiers who have died. I cry for the poor people of Gaza who are trapped in the arms of the hammas terrorists who have no value for life. I cry for the hatred in the world. I cry for the anger I feel, the loneliness, and fear. I thank you dear Esther for your soft voice and gentle words. Even though my thoughts restless I feel more connected. My this stillness bring peace to all. Namaste

THANK YOU, Esther for this healing practice! I am actually suffering from a "summer-cold" and feel sick as I was really stressed out the last weeks. So I decided to look for a class that can help me to let my body do its work against the virus - and this was a good decision! I feel much freer in my head now and less desperate. Your teaching always gives me kind of hope and helps me learning to accept what is an go with it. Love Stefanie

Dear Esther, thank you for this beautiful practice. My energy level is out of balance after moving in a new appartment. It feels very strange to set again all your things and have a new view from the windows...and so on....I felt very tired in the last days also beacuse I could not practice every day yoga during the moving! This is the first practice I took this morning in the new appartment...feels very good! Namaste, Francesca.

A deeply touching class. Yes, I got in contact with my fear like you mentioned at the end of the class. Interesting how I could feel it physically. How it was challenging to rest and open up more and more into the poses not shorten the breath and close up. Thank you Esther. xxx

Dear Esther Thanks so much, I did not sleep last night I think if was the full moon effect and the day was a hectic Monday- ups and downs day - so when looking for something to help me to rest the title and description of the class were perfect. The class has left me exactly where I needed, N. System balanced, harmony, feeling that do not have to rush but take it easy so just perfect to continue balancing body and mind.... thanks so much!

I've been in moderate pain for about 3 weeks because I've not taken the time to do my stretches, and I've been lazy and unmotivated. But last night I chose this video to get myself back into the routine. I feel more in balance, both mentally and physically today. Thank you so much for this, Esther!

This is my go to practice that I've used many times to see if I am truly sick or not. One thing that has been helpful is when we're doing supta badhkonasana with a belt to put something in each hand (like a silk bean bag or pebble) to give me the sense of holding a hand as iI relax into the pose. I learned that from one of Andrew's mp3s. Thank you Esther.

This was a very healing practice Esther. I did it before going to work and I actually feel physically worse. Grounded and more physically sick. I'm going to do a mantra mp3 with David to see if this changes. I just wondered if you have any experience with this and any suggestions. I am listening to my body and considering not going in as an option. I've done this practice many times before and have never had this kind of experience.

Hi char, sometimes when we bring ourselves back to balance you detoxify yourself as well and you can feel temporary worse if that comes out. Drink enough to flush it out and take appropriate rest.. Hope you feel better soon!

Beste Esther, Dank je wel voor deze les. Na afloop voel ik me iets lichter. Ik voel me niet lekker en weet niet of het lichamelijk of stressgerelateerd is. Daarom leek deze les me mooi. In de buiklig met ribben op de bolster ervaarde ik heel veel ongemak en pijn in buik en maaggebied. Iets na halverwege ben ik uit de houding gekomen omdat ik inademend alleen maar meer misselijk werd. Heb je tips voor me?

Hoi Rianne, Goed dat je uit de houding kwam, die was gewoon op dat moment niet goed voor je. het kan zijn als je wat anders gaat liggen, iets naar boven, naar beneden dat het minder wordt, maar het kan ook gewoon zijn dat je lichaam het gewoon niet fijn vind. Luisteren, wat je al deed is mijn tip! Een andere pose aannemen waar je wel ontspannen van wordt is prima, de kind houding met bolster langer doen is een prima alternatief. Je hoeft nooit door pijn en ongemak heen te werken !
