Thank you Nicole and Desiree. It is not about how strongly you can feel it or hold it, it's about starting to get the awareness in the right place and getting the subtle connection with our deep seated strength. Much love to all. Francesca x

This practice was certainly useful, Francesca ! I often find it difficult to hold the Mula bandha for a while without engaging other muscles, like the ones in my butt

A lovely, subtle practice which was both relaxing and informative. I found lying down was a very helpful way of engaging my mula bandha. Thank you Francesca. ☺

...for me, a semi-beginner, it was not so easy to get a good, felt understanding of the mula bandha. I will see if I can find other classes of yours Francesca. Namaste

Thank you Francesca! This was very useful! It almost felt like a meditation concentrating on breathing. I also need to gain awareness in the right places. Thanks Mel

For me this is a place with a lot of tension, not easy to relax. Your video is nice to practice at home (I don't feel comfortable in groups practicing things like this). You have a nice, soft way of explaining.

Hello, I'm beginning to realize just how much an increased focus on uddiyana bandha benefits my asana practice. With uddiyana I'm able to go deeper in the poses and hold them more comfortably. However, I'm having difficulty engaging both mula bandha and uddiyana at the same time. I seem to lose mula bandha as soon as uddiyana switches on. And it seems like I need to have mula switched on first before uddiyana can become effortless (or at least not forced and distracting). Is this a common observation and do you have any recommendations or techniques for how to manage and maintain both mula and uddiyana together? Thank you

Can we have a mula Bandha tutorial for men please?

Hi Bruce, I'm afraid Francesca is no longer teaching with us, but there are a few other tutorials on the bandhas you might find helpful (some of them created by Francesca's husband, Andrew!) https://www.ekhartyoga.com/classes/4031/pranayama-and-the-three-bandhas https://www.ekhartyoga.com/classes/2068/mula-bandha-and-uddiyana-bandha-clinic https://www.ekhartyoga.com/classes/2224/energy-locks-of-pranayama-explained https://www.ekhartyoga.com/classes/1743/core-support-and-mula-bandha https://www.ekhartyoga.com/classes/193/asana-pranayama-mudra-and-bandha
