@ Daniel: echoing Myrthes response here (from my vacation location!) In particular, my "post-run yoga" and "heal your knees" classes might be useful for you. Good luck!

Thank you all for your kind comments! @Iael: thank you so much for your words. It truly humbles me to hear your story and it makes me so happy that this practice can bring that kind of healing. love, Sandra

Sandra, I have always enjoyed your videos, but you really brought me to another level today. I had surgery on both of my feet an year and a half ago and while i've been able to go back to my normal activities I've never felt that my feet have been exactly as they were before, although the surgery corrected the problem that I had. I am not able to to sit on my heels because on my toes but I was able to modify while staying on my knees. Anyway in the last 5 minutes or so of the class as I was marveling about how open and amazing this class was making my feet feel. I broke out in tears, I felt so much release, it was amazing. I felt as if every part of the the trauma, surgery and recovery came rushing back and just went away. I feel so light and so thankful. thank you so much!!

What a beautiful story, thanks so much for sharing!! My feet have been hurting the past few weeks and I'm going to try out this set RIGHT NOW.

Hi Sandra, between your hamstrings "bend don't break" and this feet class & your knee alignment class, you've practically healed me and many of my physical discomforts! I feet and legs have stopped feeling like steel beams and feel actually good when I walk and run. Many many thank yous for being such an encouraging teacher and for all your valuable classes! Sharon

Sandra - I am having a lot of pain in my shins and ankles. I am looking for the best class on Ekhart Yoga to focus on those two areas specifically. Is this the most likely class or could you suggest one with that focus?
Jenny20.12.2013
Thank you Sandra that was exactly what I needed! x

hey sandra! I wonder if these exercises are beneficial for me. my physiotherapist tells me that I got arthrosis in my left big toe, which is always painful and very stiff. I am really ready to get into the pain if there is a chance of relief. but I am not sure if the exercises will maybe aggravate the situation. what do you think? thank you for what you do!
Cecy09.06.2014
I started doing this practice when the video first came out, and I go back to it every now and then because it really changes the way I feel for the rest of the day. I love my feet and try to thank them often for what they do for me, and this practice is like a day in the spa for them. Thank you!
Sej06.09.2013
Sandra, I have been practicing yoga for over two years and never thought of feet yoga until I started watching your video while cooking (just out of curiosity) and I think I have tumbled upon an excellent cure for the cramping that I experience in the feet and toes. I started following with your video and realized that I have a ways to go; but this video is so beautifully done with prompts from you at appropriate times and the little snippets of insights into how the points in our feet are actually linked to the spine and the other parts of the body, how to press which parts to the ground and where to feel the stretches and what breathing techniques go with it - its very helpful. If I end up subscribing any videos, yours will definitely be there. Thanks mucho.
Narayani10.09.2013
What a great practice! I have been experiencing some pain and cramping in feet lately and while I do some feet stretches in my daily practice, you've given lots of really good information and new stretches too. This is definitely a practice that I'll follow. Thanks Sandra!
Parisa16.01.2014
Thanks, Sandra! A very useful class... I didn't realize how much tension can be stored in my feet. 2 questions -- would you recommend doing this class everyday? And can these exercises help with pain in the achilles heels?
Lishea26.06.2014
This class allowed me to experience a lovely release through the feet. I feel much more prepared to do grounding and leg work. Thank you!
Katie23.03.2016
Love this class! You know there has been some intensity, when your first thought as you enter downward dog is "thank you, sweet Jesus". :)
Sandra29.03.2016
Hahahaha!! Yes, who would have thought that Downdog could be such a relief!! Glad you like it:)
Katie21.10.2015
My runner's feet need all of this. Lovely, lovely foot work. It is very grounding to do that much foot work. My feet are all warm and tingly and happy!
Catie17.06.2014
My feet feel wonderful. I think they're happy and grateful! Thank you, Sandra (from me and my feet).
Anne10.08.2014
Another great class, Sandra! As a nurse, I walk or stand on concrete floors for 40 or more hours a week. My feet get so sore, warped, and tight that they throw my whole body out of alignment. This class is such a relief to the plantar fascia, and it also helps re-establish healthy posture. Thank you so much for such a valuable practice. ~ Anne

Sandra thanks I really benefited on this class. I have type 2 diabetes and I also work as a chef so I am constantly on my feet. Lately my feet had been bothering me a lot bu5 after taking this class the numbness and tingling sensation went away. Granted it's a lil painful but the outcome was outstanding afterwards. I am so glad I tried this. Namaste Sandra!
Sandra10.08.2015

Some of this was rather uncomfortable :), but my feet are so thanking you right now! Hard to describe, but they just feel light and pain free - thank you!
Sandra29.06.2022
I know....good medicine isn't always the easiest, but as long as you feel better after, it's worth doing I hope!

I am a reflexologist and a yoga teacher and I love how these two are intertwined in your video. Thank you so very much Sandra.
Myrthe04.08.2014
Hi Daniel, Sandra is away on holidays at the moment.. but this class is really good for addressing shins and ankles. Also check out our yoga for runners program. All the classes in the program would have more focus on legs so you might find even more classes for you there! http://www.ekhartyoga.com/programs/yoga-for-runners Hope this helps.

I was just diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my big toe. This class felt great and helped me through some of the feelings of helplessness of a diagnosis of a chronic condition.
Kristen05.06.2018
Thank you so much, Jenny! I added the collection. I am working to shift my relationship to my body so that I can stay as active as I can as long as I can. Thanks again!
Karen23.06.2022
Thanks for the updated link!
Jenny03.06.2018
Hi Kristen - I just saw your comment and wanted to reply as I was diagnosed with the same condition about 6 years ago and I recognise those feelings of helplessness. I abandoned my practice for a while out of a fear of making things worse. Down the line, I know this didn't do me any favours and only served to create more tension in my feet - and the rest! I'm happy to say that I came back to my practice with a fresh approach and have learnt to manage the condition. I'm no longer fearful of moving but I do treat my body more kindly now - no bad thing. I just wanted to share this in case it is of any help to you. I've made a collection of classes I've found helpful personally (which includes this class, thanks Sandra) - https://www.ekhartyoga.com/collections/waking-up-the-feet All the best to you - and keep on moving x Jenny
Jenny04.07.2021
Hi Teresa, I've just added a couple more classes to that playlist so you should see it at/near the top of the playlists page as well now. I hope the classes help you too. Thanks

Hi Kristen, thank you so much for sharing so openly. (and thanks Jenny for your comment and support) In addition to some gentle yoga, I would also recommend looking at your diet. Insulin can cause inflammation in the joints and aggravate conditions like osteoarthritis. Good luck to you, I am sending you love!
Sandra29.06.2022
I'm so happy that the special classes here on EkhartYoga help you manage your condition and make you feel better and more secure! Much love to you ❤️
Teresa03.07.2021
Jenny....I was reading the comments on this class and I was intrigued by what you wrote. Tried to open the link to your collection but it does not work. Can you try to send it again? thank you.
Teresa24.06.2022
A belated thank you for the message and for the update but most importantly for what you shared. OA can be managed and I like you (with the help of EkhartYoga teachers/practices) have managed my condition and I am way less fearful of moving, but also learning to listen to my body. I believe movement for joints with OA is a must otherwise it gets worse! Thanks again!
Teresa24.06.2022
The pain and fear gets worse.
Daniel19.07.2021

Eva27.08.2018
Great ! Thank you Sandra , I will practice those three classes.
Eva27.08.2018
Thank you Sandra for this great class ! My feet feels numb so now and then. After this class they felt open but now I have a bit of stiff or numb feeling in the ankles with some tinglings.Still I have the feeling I should go on with pratice. It feels really good for the feet. Is there anything I can do for the ankles after this class, or do you have a class for the ankles as well?
Sandra27.08.2018
Hi Eva, I would suggest to repeat the class but take the intensity down a notch and see how that feels for your ankles. I do not have a class on ankles but I do have a short clip on the achilles heel: https://www.ekhartyoga.com/classes/achilles-relief A foam roller may help stiffness in your ankles. Hope that helps!
Sarah24.08.2016
I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis from running recently and this video is really help my foot to heal. Thank you! Am going to look up your hamstrings and knee classes too
Sandra29.08.2016
Hi Sarah, yes please do, as particularly calf muscles (and indirectly hamstrings) can have a significant effect on the plantar fascia. Many hamstring stretches also stretch the calf muscles. Hope you will feel better soon:)
Georgia12.09.2019
Thank you so much, Sandra. My feet, and every inch above appreciates your optimism, kindness, and detailed guidance.
Veronika04.11.2017
hello, I love this very good practice and on the end I feel happyness in my hole body, thank you:)
Heather04.10.2018
thank you so much. my feet have been in such pain. I will do this practice many times weekly.
Silke06.10.2018
Wonderful class. I never did "toes on fire" for such a long time - amazing. Maybe in on of your next videos you could show modifications for students which cannot bent their knees; even if they place a blanket or two between buttocks and calves. Namasté!
Sandra18.07.2021
You can always come to "Pranam" with your hips directly located above your knees (so not coming down towrads the heels) but please do keep practicing quad stretches; that will serve you in the long term. ❤️
