Quite a strong yoga flow, without any Downward Facing Dog, Plank or Chaturanga. Great to give your hands, wrists and shoulders a break and experience yoga without weight on your arms. With lots of balancing, Chair pose and Breath of joy, you'll feel like you had a proper workout - well, I did anyway :)

Thank you very much Esther! New perspective on getting in tune with my body. I really enjoy these wrist free yoga classes for this deeper mindfulness in practice. Forces core engagement and presence to stay stable. Lovely all around.
Cindy18.06.2017
Just after I said you could not get any better, you did. This sequence is amazing. I have had a weak right shoulder for quite a while, being as mindful as possible. I LOVE this flow. I have repeated it everyday since it was released. I give my shoulders, arms and wrists a soft hug and "It's okay whisper" before. My whole body is grateful. Thank you Esther for another amazing reason to get on the mat. Love, gratitude and blessings, Cindy
Esther22.06.2017
Ah, thank you Cindy :-))
Glenda06.06.2017
Wishing you all the best in your recovery. It can be frustrating working around an injury. I am recovering myself after surgery on my wrist. Its a great reminder that we can still do yoga when we have an injury. Thank you. Namaste
Esther06.06.2017
Wishing you all the best in your recovery too Glenda! Glad you enjoyed the class.
Olive25.04.2018
Thank you Esther I fractured my right hand recently and taught my yoga practice was going to come to a "Down Dog". Thankfully you came to my rescue again and have challenged some newly discovered muscles. Most grateful Olive
Annemarie05.06.2017
A bit challenging for me, cause I need to take care, that the stability in my lower back doesn't get lost in the playfulness. I did a lot of variations to balance the things I still can not do, but I stayed tuned and felt the created energy of the class. Thank you, dear Esther, and I hope your shoulder is recovered really soon
Esther06.06.2017
Thank you Annemarie, you too! And yes, stay true to what your body needs at the moment!
Annerie15.03.2018
I have shoulder injury , so I was looking for a class without dogs and planks. This was perfect and very energizing. Thank you Esther!

Pien30.12.2017
Thank you Esther for this class, I broke my left wrist and with one arm in a cast yoga is a bit of a challenge.
Theresa12.08.2017
Loved this flow. Bit reluctant to try it because I so love downward dog; but, once again, always something new to be gained in exploring yoga (and life) from new perspective. Thanks for this lovely practice.
Kirsty03.07.2017
Thank you, Esther, I really enjoyed that! Energising but also really grounding and I loved the bouncing at the end :) Love xx

Virginia13.03.2018
I broke my wrist in January 2018 and am slowly healing. This was my first yoga attempt in many months. Still in a brace. Can you suggest any other wristless yoga
Jenny14.03.2018
Hi Virginia - Esther is away on a retreat for a few more days so I'm answering on her behalf. Under the 'Specific use' filter on the classes page you'll find options to select 'Wrist-friendly yoga' and also 'Floor Hatha': https://www.ekhartyoga.com/classes/filter/specific-use/wrist-friendly-yoga https://www.ekhartyoga.com/classes/filter/specific-use/floor-hatha You'll find lots of classes in these categories where there's no, or little, weight-bearing on the wrists. You may still need to substitute some poses however and you can find some options for that in Kirsty's article along with a few specific class recommendations: https://www.ekhartyoga.com/articles/wrist-free-yoga I hope these help. Wishing you all the best for your recovery - Jenny

Wasn't it Virginia :-) Happy I wasn't the only one finding it quite challenging !!
Shamira13.05.2018
Great class! Hope you'll do more like this where there is minimal strain on arms/shoulders for those of us with issues in those areas.
Tannis07.06.2017
That was great Esther, thanks! Got the heart rate up a bit and popped a sweat all without annoying my finicky elbow tendons. :-)

Fiona25.07.2017
I have to admit it was nice not to have to do down dog as I struggle with it. But it was still an intense workout! Thanks. Is it just me or do others have trouble keeping up sometimes?!
Kat13.12.2017
It's not just you, Fiona! I left out the last repetition of the flow and just did the tree poses for that very reason! :)
Gael09.09.2017

Angela08.06.2017
Hello Esther, I cannot thank you enough for this class! Since yesterday, I suffer from elbow bursitis on my left arm, so I had to modify my practice with minimal hand/shoulder/elbow work. This class was a total bliss and it left me feeling calm and grounded. I wish you a fast recovery for your shoulder :-) Much love! Namaste, Angela
Esther09.06.2017
That makes me very happy to hear Angela!
Kat13.12.2017
Thank you for this warming "wrist free" flow, Esther! I'm working on a wrist injury at the moment and hadn't had an invigorating class like that in a while. At some point during the flow, my lower back started to feel pinchy and sore. Would it make sense for me to pause in some of the forward folds to stretch out my lower back? Any other ideas of what I can do to work with my lower back getting tender during this class?
Esther24.12.2017
sorry Kat for my late reply. yes- pause anytime, stretch your back out, move around a little, listen to your body, you may do this class a little different then I do, shaking out in between helps too..
Marti12.10.2021
Thank you dear Esther- what an awesome class, and I really liked the sequence! So glad to give my wrists a break too! xxoo
Astrid12.11.2017
Super variation, must do this class more often, namaste

Jane05.06.2017
Thank you...Esther...a different way to practice without the pressure on the hands and shoulders my mind had to step out the way of what it thought I should be doing...sending you speedy healing for you shoulder...x
Esther06.06.2017

Galyna11.06.2017
Beautiful class ! Thanks so much.
SARA12.06.2017
Appreciate this lesson different from the usual vinyasa with adho Mukha and Marjariasana - a different way to feel ourselves and stay always in the change Thank you Esther
Michael20.06.2017
Thank you, dear Esther, great instructions. I can follow without watching too much. And: the exercises are just the right remedy while curing my sprained wrist.
Esther22.06.2017
Nice to hear Michael! Hope your wrist heals up soon.
Sabrina08.07.2024
That was suuuuch a wonderful class, Esther! I picked it because I'm still recovering from a broken wrist and dont want to put too much weight on it yet - but this class is going to be an alltime favourite of mine. Love the flow and how much warmth and space it created in my body. At the end I could literally feel how my energy body had expanded. Thank you for this <3
Gülay24.11.2017
Hi Esther; I have a tendon injury on my both arm but mostly right. I'd wish more of like this video, so I could do more various exercises. I hope as soon as possible to you make new videos for forearm tendon injuries. Best wishes.
Mary Beth30.06.2017
Please Please Please make more of these types of videos. Most wrist friendly yoga videos are very stressful on my shoulders, as they tend to have a lot of dolphin and forearm planks. This is just the most amazing class ever. I am begging you for more videos like this.
Cathleen19.06.2017
That was great! Thank you ? I'd love to see more classes like this. I have a rotator cuff injury and 'shoulder-less' yoga would be very helpful.
Esther22.06.2017
I'll keep making them Cathleen, good luck with healing it, keep listening very well to your body!
Chloe05.06.2017
Loved this class - thank you Esther x
Esther06.06.2017
Great - thanks Chloe!
Windyn30.06.2017
What fun! Thank you for this hands-free class and for the bouncing part at the end. Also, sending your energy down to the lower part of the body- it reminded me of what we learned in Spain! Thanks, Esther!

Esther09.06.2017
