A long, epic sequence featuring many standing poses focused on strengthening and mobilising the hips from every angle through weight transfer and multi-dimensional movement. We will explore the idea of buoyancy in our legs as a way to remain alert and responsive to the constant negotiation of weight upon every step and balance. We will return to Malasana several times to check in between the creative flowing. This class is particularly useful for movers with 'clicky' hips looking for a strong, slow flow.

After a long day of travelling yesterday, this flow really helped to iron out the creases and make me feel sooo spacious. Thank you David, so lovely to practice with you 🙏🏼

I so much loved this class, so creative, I felt I was dancing in some moments, like in most of your classes 😍 I’ve found very hard come up from Sirsasana, I guess that comes with core strength and more practice, any tips on how to built it? Thank you 🙏

thank you David, for those of us of advanced years I found it helpful to put the block under my butt when in skandasana to get from sitting to rising. Great practice my hips thank you.
David24.05.2023
That's a great idea Debra! Thank you.

Another fun, strong flow! I still dont understand how your remember and pull together these long flows! Very impressive and fun for us who just tag along :) Thank you!
David24.05.2023
Haha all I can say is that my body remembers and ago with it. Missing you very much Karoline!

Thank you for this playful flow, David:) The "negotiation" concept and the non-lnearity in your and Julie Martin´s classess is something I try to incorporate into my yoga practice as well as into the "off the mat" life (more or less successfully). Looking forward for some new adventures (or the good old ones to repeat). Thaks again!
David24.05.2023
Very happy to hear more of this incorporated in your life Michaela!

The absolute wonder when they can coexist.
Caroline17.02.2023
Challenging & energising - the second side seemed a lot easier than the first, perhaps because I knew what was coming. Really loved linking the opening and closing of the hands with the breath. Definitely one to come back to. 🙏🏻❤️
David24.05.2023
Absolutely is the case! Familiarity follows with a dance!
Terre27.09.2023
Thank you David, I found my left hip more difficult to negotiate, but so happy to try. What a good class it has been. Namaste, Terre
Angie27.02.2023
Loved that David. Thanks so much. I've been having pain in my hips of late so hopefully this practice helps.

Do let me know how you get on Angie!

haha sometimes it resembled an Ikea instructions manual for the body. [me, between my teeth what limb? which hand?] followed by 'ahimsa ahimsa'. But truly beneficial dear David :-)
David24.05.2023
Haha that's a very metaphor my friend.
Francesca23.01.2024
