Thank you Marlene, this practise left me feeling incredibly peaceful. I love your classes. I am in my 2nd trimester of pregnancy, I did this class anyway and felt really good. But do you have any advice about chakra practises during pregnancy? Namaste.

Hi Deena, Thank you Deena! You can do this class when you are pregnant, you may just want to see if the forward bending is comfortable for you. You want to make sure you keep the knees wide so you have enough circulation to the uterus. You will want to avoid any strenuous abdominal work, deep twists, deep forward bends and strenuous breath work. Whenever you start to feel uncomfortable or the belly starts to feel hard, you want to stop. Listen to your body! <3 Marlene

Just what I needed. I feel my heart chakra has been clogged with sludge for ages now. This was like a 10000 mile service leaving me feeling light and strong. I actually felt something shift within me during the alternate arm breathing and it was such an emotional relief. Thank you so much! x

This practice filled me with peace and touched my heart. Brought a few tears (haha, every practise I do with you seems to have that effect) but not too much. And at the end, when sitting very quiet, I suddenly felt, how not pretending to be interesting, smart, tough, succesfull etc., would make me feel so very free. Not clinging to an image that I'm trying to project... just being myself, or being no one at all... would mean freedom. Well, maybe that sounds like gibberish to you :-) but to me it was important. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and kindness Marlene! I will start my teachertraining with Anat Geiger in september, and after that, maybe one day I can do a workshop or something you!

Hi Julie, thank you so much! We alter the feet so that we keep the hips in balance. You will notice that we create a habit of putting the same foot/leg forward, and that position of the leg creates a slight rising of the hip. Namaste!

No matter how many times i do this practice, every time i find it different! Marlene, if i may ask, in gratitude breath, do we have to have in mind the length of the inbreath and outbreath be the same, or it is not important?

Yes, it tends to be like that :) No the length of the breath doen't have to be a specific count. As long as it is a long deep comfortable breath, it is fine. You will find that if you do this for an extended periode of time, the breath will become deeper and longer naturally. Pay attention to your exhales especially. If all of your breath is out, then you have complete space for your inhale. Hope this helps! <3

Hi Anjali, that is great that you could feel the shift. And actually you already answer part of your own question :) Some people are more sensory and less visual, and they find feeling things comes more easy than visualising. For others it is the other way around. Of course you can develop your visualisation skills over time. But it means in no way that your practice has less quality if you can't. <3

Thank you Marlena, I hadn’t done kundalini yoga for a while, it is helpful to Vary the practice as I had some tense and constricted spaces, these movements bring new energy and I can work to release tension.
