Just two practices and have had very deep sleep. Generally, a good sleeper, but these are astonishing, Marlene.

Great to hear that it works for you Michael!

Such a lovely practice - for a moment there I felt a disconnection of sorts from my body which was very jarring. At the end I felt as if my one side was heavier than the other and it made it difficult to relax, but once I accepted this I found my focus immediately shift to my heart space. Thank you - I am ready for bed. :-)
Marlene15.08.2016
Yay! It sounds like you were getting some insights into your energy body. Great! And good that you were able to just let it be and move into the heart space. ❤️

Hi Marlene. Thank you for this practice. I found it very soothing. I do have a question. I have been looking into kundalini yoga and mediation recently and there seems to be lots of benefits. But I can't get into the mouth breathing! It leaves my mouth very dry and uncomfortable. Why is there so much mouth breathing and can you suggest anything for the discomfort, besides having water near at hand? :-)
Marlene03.01.2017
Hi Helen, thanks for your question. Mouth breathing takes a little practice for some people. It did for me. So just go slow, have water close and stop when you get uncomfortable. Slowly work your way up. Mouth breathing depending on the techniques has different benefits: cooling, detoxifying, balancing brain, aid digestion, increase oxygen, stimulate vagus nerve and many more. Lots of love to you! ❤️

That was lovely. Thank you.

My favorite part about Sunday mornings is checking Ekhart Yoga knowing it's very likely to find a practice with you or James Reeves. I just love you both. When I saw this practice I couldn't resist so I did it first thing in the morning. I loved it, so calming. I also loved the heart opening at the end. I will do it again tonight before bed. It's already one of my favorites. Thank you so much Marlene for this beautiful practice. Namasté

Dearest Sarah, thank you so much for your sweet comments. I am so happy to hear the practice resonates with you! ❤️
Ilse08.08.2016
I can not seem to relax, most nights I battle with nightmares and wake up often during the night. I can only succeed in switching my brain off during an intense yoga practice, and then as soon as I relax in savasana, the monkey mind is back. I used to do sleepy yoga before bed, and it really worked, so I am going to return to it, starting with this class tonight. I find your classes really intense and sometimes difficult because of many things coming up emotionally, but I am grateful for it, because it keeps me aware. Thank you.xxx
Marlene15.08.2016
Hi Ilse, it sounds quite intense what you are experiencing. Did you ever think about maybe taking some calming herbs for bedtime? The reason I ask is because our brain really, really needs a break to process everything. And it seems you have a lot to process. My suggestion would also be to really try and do 30 min of nadi shodana or simple long deep breathing. The longer and calmer the breath, the slower your brain waves. Also if a class is very intense for you. Take your time to process. And be kind to yourself! ❤️

This practice is great. I do it often. I am looking for a meditation to enhance compassion and kindness towards self. Do you have any ? Thanks
Marlene18.07.2018
Thank you Anjali! You have given me a great idea for my next class. Meanwhile, even though it is not a meditation, you can check the Practice Self Love class: https://www.ekhartyoga.com/classes/practise-self-love

This one isn't for me, but I did type in and request a yin, this feels more like kundalini. Thank you.
Marlene18.07.2018
Hi Rosie, it is a mix of styles as you can see in the description :) But there are a lot of pure yin classes on Ekhart yoga, maybe just double check the style box to make sure you get the right class. <3
