I really appreciate John's humble, realistic, down to earth, practical, common sense and loving approach, and his acknowledgement that we are of this earth. This is a great programme. I'm also pitta & kapha like another yogi who's commented and I was also wondering which to follow? I'm pretty good at understanding the food my body likes, but how do I decide on a yoga class? Thank you. PS I think Ester mentioned the herxheimer reaction/die off are there and classes that help with comforting this? X

Hi Vicki, The advice is actually to tone it down if it happens, this cleanse shouldn't bring up a herxheimer reaction. But if it does, drink loads and do some yin yoga to soothe the system.

Esther, Thank you for this informative program. I appreciate the dietary recommendations. I am unable to find shelled mung beans (only the green beans are available in my area). Is there another bean I can use as a substitute? I welcome any insight you may have. With kindness, Victoria

Hi, thank you for the extensive explanation on the cleanse! According to the test I did (and I think I agree with that) two doshas are equally dominant in my consitution (Pitta and Kapha). Now, I am wondering which guidelines to follow from the 5-day cleanse programme: make a mixture of the recommendations made for each body type or choose one and see what the effect of that cleanse is? What would you advice? Looking forward to your answer!

Thank you for the program, fabulous so far. I would like to know- I'm from Singapore in Southeast Asia where it's hot and humid all year round. How can we tailor an Ayurvedic seasonal cleanse for a climate like ours, when there are no seasons?

Esther thank you for these opportunites to better respond to what our bodies tell us in the moment.I have been confused in past by my body one time not liking a food it liked before, and later liking it again. John's talks about doshas, seasonality and residue/cleansing have removed confusion and made me happy recognising how my body is and happy i can respond better to its changing needs. The JoyfulBelly test identified Pitta/Kapha and I found a little Vata wanting to start now with this learning all, doing all. It's very revealing. Thank you.
