I'm normally an Iyengar girl but this class was fantastic! I sometimes find flow yoga a little too quick but you have it spot on. Hopefully doing my teacher training next year and this would be brilliant to incorporate into developing my own style. Thank you Julie!

This music is from my friend Paco, Sitarsonic. I use a lot of his music for my classes. When I teach in person I always use music, it is a very important part of my classes. Some classes on Ekhart have music too and should consider to do more, you are right! XX, Julie :)

Loved this short energizing flow. Everything was familiar yet all with a new and different slant, easy for me as a senior yogini to do, learnt so much and perfect with great explanations. Loved this class, lovely flow not too strenuous in the morning but just enough to wake up those quads and get the spine and hips loosened out! My mum would love the tai chi element of pushing the air away- I'm just introducing her to yoga and it will take a while to build up her strength in her wrists and legs but my aim will be to build her to this routine! :)

Hi Rosie, glad you loved the class! I also agree about savasana, but was trying to create a quick class that could be done for people that don't have time. They don't usually stick around, sadly, for rest. I LOVE using music, as I do all the time in my regular classes, but its the legal thing with the online services. Sadly it becomes a bit too expensive as you have to pay the musician per view. Anyway, hope you keep enjoying. With gratitude, Julie

This is a bit “danger-bay”, in that there’s not enough time for proper alignment around the standing, twisting pose... Good for experienced practitioners, though.

Hi Maïla, Thanks for the comment. I hope you felt you could move between one shape and the next and get the leg turned in and then back to horse stance. I apologise if you feel there wasn't much time. I do try to be really clear about turning the leg in with my verbal instructions. The foot that is grounded doesn't need to move. The question is always "do you feel supported". This is more important than classic alignment as it was based on static only Iyengar style. I encourage students to find a stance and rotation that works for their bodies. I hope you found yours! With gratitude, Julie

So glad you enjoyed it Laia! Will do more! It's a bit difficult with music as the licensing is a problem, but will encourage Ekhart to allow more classes with music in the future!
